Save Games fail to decompress data

After about 1000 A.D. loading about 75% of my saved games, auto and manual, display the message "Failed to decompress data" and crash to desktop. I have the 1.52 patch installed.

I do exactly have the same problem. After installing the latest patch it looked like the game was running well.
I was getting quite excited and was playing along. But one who works needs sleep as well.
So I saved my game after hours, went to sleep, to work, home, happy to play and received that f... message while trying to load my game!

Any help out there? I surfed a lot of the postings in different forums, but didn't find any conclusions.

No one else has had this problem? Any help would be great, because this problem is ruining the game for me

Do you have autosave enabled? If yes, then you could try laoding one of those auto-save instead and see if you get the error there too...

yes the auto saves do this too. What is with this game?
