Saved games disappeared, Game setup values reset

Hi there,

Today I wanted to load a saved game, and: Surprise! All my saved (single) games have been deleted from my hard disk. Furthermore, my personal default settings to set up a new game have also been reset to default (Chieftain, Small map size, etc. As far as I can tell, no virus or other internet malpractice is involved, and I sure didn't delete them myself (let alone reset game setup values to default). My hall of fame has also been emptied, but my achievements in Steam are still standing ... Has anyone had the same problem?

Did you delete any files recently in windows? The settings and saved games are located in my documents under my games. If one inadvertently "cleaned house" in windows, one could have deleted files that the game put there. Or if a new profile was created under windows and you deleted the old profile. Or if you are now playing on a totally different computer?

Thx for your reply, but I didn't delete any files from the "My Games" folder in My Documents, and I'm playing on the same computer.

If I didn't know better, I'd say the game had completely been re-installed on my computer, because all settings have been reset to default: game options, videos options, audio options, etc. And just to be clear: I did not re-install the game. The only "strange" thing i did just before it happened, was browsing through the on-line mods library in Steam (first time i did that), but I can't see how that should have anything to do with what happened.

Nevermind.

Seems my My Game folder somehow got moved to my E drive after my old one broke and I replaced it.
