Saving Rome CFC Contest

And then there were 6
Well it started out as a knockout contest like the Kamikaze (LouLongs pacific war knockout) one but we started to rethink the idea when there were not eight players interested.
However, it is probably better for a league idea where you play a number of games against the other players then you will not only get to play one set of games if you loose.

With Yama that makes six which would be 5 sets of games.
Maybe we should stop there before it gets too big.

I like the 3rd league option where we play different players in each game. I'll set up a list in the reserved posts, see what you think.

Just let me know when the action is ready to go.

Started mine. There is a lot of Roman cities. There is also a lot of gaps between them for sneaky barbarians. I cam see there being a lot to do once I have built something.

I played and sent turn 1. I have sent it again. If you have played turn 2, I didn't get it. Can you set up a thread for reporting on the game you started. Not much happened as yet though.

Both of mine are in action.

Just realised one thing I didn't do is combine the VP scores. Never thought of it. I'll have to ask Loulong how he did it in the Kamikaze one. We'll just have to add them up for this round.

How do we score the league?
We can get points for a win like football but note the VP scores too so we could get stats like average score and neat stuff like that.
It will be unlikely that we get a draw though, so maybe just 2 point for winning. and 1 in the case of an unlikely draw.

I have had a look at the biq and modified it for the next round so that the VP's will be shown as combined scores for each side. This means that the Romans are in a locked alliance and the barbs are too. So once you attack one civ everyone is at war. :D

I don't see trading techs as a problem.
The romans can trade when they get a new tech too.
The Romans start with loads more and the the Sassanids would like to create trouble with the Romans by making their enemies stronger.
Historically the barbs would not have worked together but neither would the 2 halves of the Roman empire.
Consider this an alternate timeline where they did :)

Good. I'm glad to hear that I'm playing on the up and up!

I think that is would be good to post the games that you have started. This should keep track of all the games that are going right now.

Here is my game against Hawklord. [thread]118637[/thread]

My two have been progressing steadily, but I haven't been updating the threads...
