Saving Rome Round 2 king Stu (Rome)vs. Hawklord (Barbs)

Hey Hawklord,

When you said
Legion and garrison killed at Cambrai
did you mean that you took the city? If so you feel one turn short of my first barbarian city-take. I took Deva from Gnarffling on turn 2 in our game! :mischief:

Just felt like bragging and letting you know I'm reading along.

Nivekclough

@ Nivek Not in this I was defending the city. Which is still burning as we speak :( However, in the other one I destroyed 2 Barbarian cities in Turn 2. Might have been 3. :p

Franks
Killed legion lost raider

Sassanids
Killed Legion on the road
A few surprises planned for soon. The times they are a changin' ;)

Celts
We have learned some new skills and look forward to trying out our new fangled long knives on the hated Romans

Sassanids
Killed Legion and Garrison. It was touch and go with the army against that legion.

Huns
The Huns have layed siege to Byzantium

Visigoths
Lost 2 marauders against legions. The troops still prefer their axes, can't get the hang of the weight of these new fangled swords.

Celts
Oh well more practice is required with these new fangled swords. Lost marauder at Deva
Franks
Killed Roman garrison and tortured worker to death. Died too easilly, no fun these Roman slaves.
Sassinids
Killed legion outside Caesarea, first hors retreated second finished the job no losses.
Alexandria captured and burn't to the ground. No more great lighthouse.
Antioch
Lost 2 archers, brought defender down to the red but failed in the assault.
Huns
Lost 7 horsemen and killed nothing at Constantinople.
Visigoths lost marauder

Not so good overall, it's just as well the Sassanids did something positive. I expected more from the Hun hoard. The leader will be dragged across the steppe until he is dead, if he isn't already.

Sassanids
Lost horse against ceasarea? Somewhere like that.
Visigoths lost marauder outside alarich....

The Huns are so demoralised by their easy defeat at the hands of the Romans that they have destroyed the silver mine and ran away. Totally awed by the power of the Roman soldiers. How will I ever get them whipped into shape again.

Celts
Lost marauder but killed a legion at Deva
Sassanids
Caesarea
Killed garrison and captured city
Antioch
Killed garrison and captured city
Visigoths
Killed legion outside Fritigen
Renamed these silly Visigoth cities. How could anyone remember there long winded names?

Hmmm! 4 Eastern Roman cities destroyed 4b to go :D

Sassanids
Killed garrison in a fort
Wounded legion on mountain. 4 horsemen retreated to take 1 bar of health of them. No wonder their tough wandering around the mountains in short skirts.

Franks
Killed legion in the wilderness
Sassanids
Killed legion and heavy cav on mountain east of Iconium. Revenge for our fallen comrades :D

Visigoths
Lost marauder and spearman attacking legion on mountain but killed him in the end. 1 left, soon. He must feel deserted by the empire. Need the original spies to convert him to Visigothism :) Anybody remember when spies converted troops to your side for gold :mischief:
Lost marauder against him but only wounded him.

Celts
Killed 2 garrisons and a legion in Deva and captured the city. The Celts will revenge their brothers in Scotland :p

Redlined legion in Iconium and killed garrison. Lost heavy cav
