What's wrong with my Civilzation 3 Complete? Everytime i try to click new games or multiplayer, or play scenarios, it said invaild, the file might be corrupt. What things am I missing?

Also I tried to uninstall it, unfoturnely it didn't work it said error number: 0x80040707
Description: Blank

And When i try to enter civ conquest map editor it said The file can't be read, but things are fine in civ conquest, especially i cannot see the city icons or unit icons, terraform icons when i place them.

I need alot of help on fixing that game again, I like civ3 so much...

Someone better answer to me sooner because i want to get it fixed right away. I don't know what caused it to not work properly maybe because i download something from this like Steph map editor or deleted zip folders by accident!?

The best place to get some help with these issues is either the Creation forum or the General forum. I know I almost never notice this forum as it has so little activity.

I would for sure uninstall. If the uninstall app fails, use the windows remove app tool. If that fails, remove manually via windows explorer. Then use the regedit tool to remove any register entries left behind.

Then install and do not apply any patches. If it installs, try a quick game from the menu and see if you can play a couple of turns and save it. Then try civ content and do the same.

I tried to uninstall it, didn't work, tried to remove it using windows app tool, not working.

How do i manually remove it? What is regidet tool? I'm sorry if i'm a noob, I just never experinced manually removing it...

Open computer icon and find the civ folder and delete it. Save any games first. The register has entries for civ that will not be removed at that point. This often causes problems with installing again.

The Regedit is an app that comes with Windows. You can go to Run and enter that name and it will execute. Do a Find for Civ and delete all the entries you find.

How to get to Run varies with different version of Windows. IIRC in XP you have an option from the Start button. In Win7, you can use the search in the Start button and enter Regedit directly and double click it when it finds it.

WARNING Register entries are important and care is required to not delete any that are not part of civ.

I did a regedit, Deleted the Frixas Game Folder to the recycle bin. Deleted the Frixas folder from computer.

Now I retry to instal.. it didn't work. It said internal error, same as problem as i had before i deleted it. What's wrong with it?

Did i do something wrong with it???

I think problem is that, in my start program, the program file. Frixas Folder is still there in my start, do i need to delete it too?

That should not matter. You can delete the short cut by right clicking on it from the start menu.

What gave an internal error the install setup? Try to open the CD and see, if you can browse the folders to see, if it has any read errors.
