Scenario Request Thread

I'd like to create a Earth 1900 map... but I can't find any good historical maps. Does anyone know where I could get them online?

so many questions but not many answers at all, i wonder if anybody plans to listen to these really good requests...

I would love to see a WWI Western Front Scenario, Starting just after Britain enters the war.

A scenario based off the Norman Invasion of England could be cool. Also good oppurtunity to experiment with an anglo-saxon civ :)

I'de like to see a scenario like the one that already exists called "Europe"... except with pre-placed civilizations like England, France, Rssian, Germany, denmark, spain, rome, even carthage and etc.

I listen to them. If you put enough info and give a link to a map or tell what map to use, and give every last detail (Well I can do a little ;) ) that you need done I will help. Alredy making "The Rise of Islam" should be out soon!

I would like to have a realistic present Earth Bts scenario including following features:

- no speculative future technology
(no NextWar, maybe some things like "Future Military Technology I" giving bonuses to existing units could be used if modded)
- prefered time scale of next 20 years, time increment 1 month/turn or similar
- no minor oil resources but more oil resources in oil-rich regions; same for other resources but not that important - for example iron or sheep should not be problematic
(for example no oil in Europe but more in Russia and Middle East)
- set realistic leader attitides and trade relations
(no "blank table start", but a realistic network of hate, cooperation and dependency)
- realistic religion allocation
- not many military units (there are small differences in tech progress today, so let's make ability to produce new units quickly if needed matter more)
- realistic infrastructure (USA would have almost everything in every city, Sahel almost nothing - the civs are not equal in power)

- Civilizations:
USA
European Union (use some non-jingoistic european civ leader)
British Commonwealth (Britain, Australia, Canada, maybe some minor territories)
China
Japan
Russia
India
Mexico (use Aztecs)
Brazil (use Portugal)
Argentina (use Incas or Spain, diverse South America is needed, but not all states could be included)
Mediterranean arabian states (use Egypt)
Sahel islamic states
Turkey
Asian-arabian states (use Arabia)
Israel (one-city-state, but required; some ancient leader can represent it without excessive modding)
Iran (use Persia)
Indonesia
North Korea (also a one-city state, just to add another neuralgic point to the map)
minor southeast-asian states (to cover territory of South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia...)
Central-asian muslim states (covering area of Pakistan and former soviet republics)

(one slot up to 21 free for any civ necessary)

use barbarians for non-islamic Africa (sorry, but there is no global player at this time; conquering "barbarian" cities could also represent world powers fighting for influence in Africa - mabye some independent one-city states like those in Rhyes could be used, but that requires modding). Iraq directly under American control (1 city), but very revolting.

The goal is to create a realistic game beginning "today" and reflecting present geopolitical situation including trade and diplomatic relations. As you can see, there are for examle many muslim civs, not just one "muslim bloc" (not talking about "independent bloc" covering "less important" parts of the world in many scenarios) and some civs important from a diplomatic point of view like North Korea or Israel. This allows more alliances and influencing than creating monolithic Huntingtonish blocks - dividing lines can be drawn in religion, diplomatic attitude (some states with same religion as their neighbors simply do not like their neighbors that much), cultural influence, alliances etc. to create a complex play.

Remember people - we post in English here. No disrespect to anyone's native tongue, culture, or history. I clearly remember the moderators getting quite angry over multiple foreign language posts.

No one likes it when people spew b******* in foreign languages (or in English for that matter).
