Mmm, no. It's more of an internal condition, actually.

Why do I have the feeling that you know the real answer and you're just toying with me?

Cytokine 'storm'. Cytokines are signal molecules used in the immune system and logically activated when the immune system detects foreign particles. Not sure of the specifics, but apparently the flu over-revved the signals into a feedback loop that exhausts the immune system, or something. I can only guess that the result is the host is immune compromised by depletion of pool molecules, or the immune system is so over-activated that it does auto-immune or non-specific damage to the host.

Indeed it is. Your turn.

I'm too pooped. Open Floor :bump:

How do bed bugs reproduce?

[Brief description of the process for extra kudos]

Sexually?

Brief description: when mummy bedbug loves daddy bedbug very much...

They (mites) both use tubing?

Is that the one where there is literal forced penetration? As in the male pokes a hole in the female's abdomen to deliver his gametes?

That's it. The sperm is transported by the haemolymph to the ovaries.

SS-18 ICBM is up.

What is a superheated and supercooled fluid? And how would one make examples of both at home?

Is it a fluid that shouldn't be liquid at the temperature it is at?

So to make a superheated fluid you'd need a pressure cooker to raise pressure and a supercooled one you'd need a vacuum pump and a freezer.

That's a total guess though ;)

You're right about the liquid not being supposed to be liquid. However, there is an easier way to create such fluids with common household appliances and stuff you can buy at the supermarket. Not sure a lot of people have a pressure cooker, or a vacuum pump.
