Well its time to decide which tech to research next.

Discussion

Theology: Pre req for "economical" side of the tech tree, and gives Sistine
Engineering: Pre req for "militaristic" side of the tech tree, allows us to walk over water!(jk, but we can build bridges)
Republic: For somone whos a weee bit crazy
Other: 20 bucks to anyone who finds another possibility!
Abstain: For people against public polls, dont care which, or if u hate me ;)

Current Tech Tree(460 AD):

Note: Poll is open 2 days, which will finish 11 hours b4 the TC, sorry but its the only way i could do it :(

I agree with RM. Enough with this militaristic thinking, it's time to expand our minds. Let us take the path of culture.

I want Astronomy, Education, and Banking, so I naturally picked Theology. We have the military, but now we need the structures to pull way ahead in science and get some cash as well.

The AI is more likely to research theology, so we should research engineering.

The AI does research Engineering...

We have the upper hand in military, anyway. We need now to make our cities be able to speed up science.

Vote Theology. Why? Because we are religious civ and can have cheap Cathedrals. By building Sistine Chapel we would have very efficient way to eliminate unhapiness in every bigger city.

Research Theology.

If the other continent is as advanced or slightly less than us, then we might be able to finagle Enginering.

We must head, directly for Economics and Smiths. This path not only allows us access to Education and Banking along the way, but opens up possibilities of researching democracy shortly after.

It would be a waste of our researching time to start on what part of the tree, and then flip over to the other, something we'd likely end up do if we decide to research engeerneering.

I was hoping this thing would be 1-sided so that we could do the 1-turn-turnchat... Looks like I may have to delay that, and push back the "origanal" turnchat by a day or so.

i still havent voted :devil2: ]
im really pretty evenly decided...

okay i voted theology, this is because i believe soon we will get our golden age(samurai) and we will have many wonder choices this route, but not so many on the lower path

Sistine, I believe, is the expensive wonder in which you need expensive cathedrals to be effective...

Yes, but 6 unhappy people turned into content would save us much from the mis-use of the lux slider.
:p

Right now, upgrades are 80g for horses to samurai. If we were to build Leo's (need invention), it would be 1/2 off. That's 40g instead of 80g.

But the upper tech path has many more benefits than just Sistine. In terms of advancing the economy, science, and culture or our civilization, we can't do better than the upper branch. Theology all the way.

Vive le republique!

Oh, wait, that was last game.

Seriously, this is the Democracy game, not the constitional monarchy game. We should be taking the more liberal road.

We must discover engeniering so that we can cross roaded rivers with no problems :).

Right on, people. Engineering first. Then the upper branch.
