one thing. I thought that we have already received espionage from the Greeks, haven't we?

I think we haven't done that trade yet. We should also discuss which trades we are to do... other Civs already have Refining and Espionage.

Just to add something to this now dead topic. I've heard from a few other players (DaveMcW) that we should go for Radio, and use that as a bargaining chip, too. It'd like to go for Radio after refining - if not switch to that.

Ummm, what about sanitation? I mean, We should get tanks asap, but shouldn't we at least put saniation on the queue?

I agree. I generally make hospitals a higher priority than tanks. Our great production cities will be able to pump out tanks much faster if they can grow over size 12.

Radio will only show up as a bargaining chip if the interested civ already has Electronics. Not many civs even have Electronics yet.

Plus, who has gold besides Greece? Greece should be our only tech trade partner from here on out, and at some point we should halt all trades with them as well. I don't think we need to educate our future enemies for, say, 3gpt and some change. Let's enjoy our considerable lead over everyone but Greece and head straight for Panzers(although a detour to grab Sanitation shouldn't be out of the question).

This will ensure that when the time comes, no civ save Greece will be able to put up an adequate fight.

I was talking to Dave, and he said in order to support the size nation we have with hospitals (to improve terrain), we'd need 200-300 workers. We are FAR from that amount. (Shall I continue my "I told you so!" rant about workers? ) On the worker front, I'd like all of the corrupted (70% or higher) to produce nothing but workers.

Back on the tech front, Dave actually said that having only Greece and us in the tech lead is a bad thing, since Greece will get all of the gold from the other civs (and probably already is).

Yeah, but they're forwarding all of that gold to us.

As long as we have a tech to give... Greece has Refining. They're bound to be researching Steel or Sanitation (most likely Steel). If they are researching Steel, we might have to give some extra gold for Refining. I really don't want to be in a bottleneck tech race with Greece. They're bound to get Combustion before us, so if we let that happen, we'll start sliding behind in techs again, and it'll be too late for tanks to have any effect.
