Hey there!

I don't know if this is caused by my settings in bug ((I.e. using mark civs as dead for example)) Revolutions, or Sparth's Extra Civ Mod Mod, or perhaps my monitor being a 4 k monitor being ran at 1080p for civ but my score board will not show State religions. It's somewhat annoying but not really a game breaker persay, just is nice to see who controls what holy city and what their religion is. If there is a fix please tell me how.

Thanks ahead of time!

Screen shot below.

There are likely some BUG options that allow you to control this. Check in there... pretty sure my scoreboards are setup to show state religions.

Ok I will see if there is an option that toggles that on and off., not sure if it had to do with Sparth's civs or not.

Update.

I checked BUG and then went to the scoreboard tab and saw no toggle for show religions or not, I also checked the other settings in bug and saw nothing, I wonder what is causing this,

The BUG options button is the green face button in the upper left of the screen (circled red in the below screenshot)
If you go to the scoreboard tab, there is a string of letters that denotes the layout of the board.
Mine is: FWSZVC?EPTUNB@DRAHMQ*LO
(you can copy/paste this string). Check if it includes the "R" which enables vision of state religion.

Thanks, but another issue came up, I cant save the string after I paste it and it remains blank when I reload bug, Is There a way to save it?

Update.

Fixed Just had to Untick and then retick an option. .

And found another issue, when I I have advanced Layout enabled it doesn't show the scoreboard after adding your string, when I untick it It does. I guess I will reinstall everything..

I don't know what I did wrong..

From what I read on this board, to save BUG options, save the game, then save again. You need to save twice to make it stick. This is a known bug.

Are you using the Steam version of Beyond the Sword? When looking at other mods I found this
A while ago, the online internet service Gamespy has shut down, and Firaxis have released a patch to be able to continue to play online using Steam. While this is a wonderful news, they also introduced a bug which prevents the religion icon to be displayed into the score (at the right bottom of the ingame screen).
Source: http://anewdawn.sourceforge.net/pages/install/ (Near the bottom where it says "Special Note to Steam Users."

Default BUG settings will show Religions. BUT...you have used all the available spacing with your current set up.
Example you are showing Dead Civs. And you have at least 30 Civs in your game. Iirc there are also some set up Options that can affect the Main screen display. But I can remember where this morning becuase I have an extreme sinus headache. :(:cringe:

Hmm Ok Joe, I will test some options and see if it is one that is causing that. I will let you know if I find anything. Thanks and get well soon!

*Update*

Reset bug to default settings and still no Religions showing, certain it has to do with the steam patch. Oh well perhaps one day a fix will come around or Toffer will find a cure :)

When I get a chance I'll post a screen shot of my new game and how I have BUG set for this display. Maybe later this evening or tomorrow.

Alright thank you, whenever you get around to it.

I am using the steam version, the latest svn, and sparth's civs as a note. Also when I did roll back the patch it did work and show the religions on the score board.

Pretty sure this section under F7 needs to be like shown. Also iirc you need to make sure you have some espionage working for each civ you've met. And yes I know this is under Advisors but the info is used in the Display list on Main screen.

As you can see in my screenshot I have not met anyone yet nor gotten one of the earliest Religions so the Bottom right List of Civs is just me.

No I'm old school with the Original CD sets. Toffer may be the only Modder that uses the steam version currently on the team. The rest of us are long long time Civ players. I still have all my CD sets going back to Civ II.

Damn... I've just been shown up here on nostalgia. But that's just because I've moved and divorced and remaried since those days. I never had a Civ I disk but had rather rented it from a game rental store (lol - those were brilliant back then!) and had ever after had it on my system until that computer broke down. Civ II and the Test of Time there were amazing (and a huge reason we have our great white whale of multi-maps here because they HAD THAT!!!) I didn't get into Civ III until soon before IV was suddenly announced and quickly thereafter released and that became my current wife and I's passion for a long long time until getting into AND and then C2C nearly as soon as it formed.

And yes, I still have the original vanilla Civ IV disks, as well as Warlords and Beyond the Sword originals, which is how my system is setup. Steam is a mystery to me because pretty much since then there has been no other game for me.
