Not a feature specific to Fire, but...

The bottom unit is my forest stealthed scout, the upper stack is some barbarian escourts, and the left stack is a couple of unprotected goblin workers.

Claire is Keelyn's special hero, upgrades to a Courtesan, Angel, Devil, Blogger, Toad or a Werepoodle.

no, the gorilla wants to give claire a hug! He just wants to give her some monkey love but claire is afraid and looking for a way out, not dancing.

the courtesan model is the only other female character in-game that isn't a hero like Losha Valas, and Typhoid Mary. Also remember, i'm a lover not a fighter. Which is odd, since I always declare war in game...imma-> hypocrite.
(prompts "Offtopic") and I can't use those two because they aren't <ahem> me they're Losha, and Mary...

Well, women ARE screaming for equal opportunity, I should venture to say that while reconnaissance may expose one to danger for longer periods of time, they are no in any way completely fatal. Whereas while combat is few and far between, when you are facing nigh unstoppable berserks/undead/whatevers, the chances of your survival are drastically low. Which is why soldiers are more given to religiosity and scouts to hedonism (okay, I made the last claim up).
