If you open the world builder and click somewhere by accident the Egyptian lion will spawn somewhere. Lately I was playing the Mongols and then I put a lion somewhere (removed the lion when I noticed it) and I contacted Egypt, although they were already collapsed (600 AD). Very annoying.

To answer the question I'd call it a sea lion

Actually I did open WB but I don't remember clicking anything. But, I guess you're right.
BTW You can't have sea lion. That's the first thing my g/friend said when I showed her the screen.
Maybe some sort of aquatic sphinx?

In fact, I'm pretty sure you will kill the lion without any damage, with any naval unit with offensive capabilities. Same for any land unit killing a naval unit on land.
BTW fairly uncommon American game with Egypt being high up there.

Something I've never seen before: the Byzantines built a city. Maybe they should also have settler maps because it was called Constantinople, while their capital was still theirs.

I did this once myself. Some time later I looked at the map and realised that there was an Egyptian lion on one of my cottages. Because animals can't enter tiles under control of your cities cultural boundaries though, it could never move away.

BTW You can't have sea lion.

Most interestingly because of me if the game had gone on longer my AI vassal Ethiopia would have won UHV

The Incas shouldn't have a plague, since I disabled it by setting the tech that cancels it to Mining instead of Medicine, and they had their first contact long ago. But for some reason, they are plagued.
