And now to derail this thread with some The Sims Medieval pictures:

Lord Mehmet of Petite Bey, pretending to hear his people's plight between his praise of himself.

Still, he's responsible enough to keep up with laws in the kingdom even before he departa on a 'vacation'.

Screenshot-22.jpg
This poor servant has been unfortunate enough to attract the attention of the monarch afterhe returned from his 'vacation'. Fortunately for her, the game crashed not long after .

The town's only priest being arrested for slander against the Monarch's delusions of immortality.

Feeling guilty about arresting Prior Orhan, the Monarch this time placed the priest in charge of the kingdom while he was gone, perfectly matching with the situation before the game crashed.

Is Sims Medieval any good? I've been hearing a few good things from /v/ and usually you never do.

Germany and Japan are failing hard, and now the USA have declared war on the Axis. Will probably start over with Italy, and directly intervene in Spain. Gibraltar is seriously out of my reach now meaning that I have to set Infantry on every damned coastal province to prevent amphibious assaults. Next time I will take Spain alongside Nationalist-Spain wait for the Germans to steamroll France, and launching the Vichy event (didn't happen this time due to my intervention in Southern France (the maginot line still exists with 3 landforts ^^)) and blitzkrieg my way through Egypt and Persia.

I've only played for about a day, but so far I think it depends on what you're expecting from it. The major downside seems to be that children cannot become adults, so dynasties are more or less impossible. But in terms of The Sims 3, Medieval is worlds ahead. Sims no longer wait half an hour before continuing a conversation, there are more items that you can uniquely interact with, and the sims themselves look better. Jobs are handled creatively, with sims having two assignments to perform by the end of the day instead of forcing them to waste a few hours of the day in a rabbithole. Still, I'd need more time to give a good assessment; I haven't played most of the profressions, and by extension haven't had to restart yet.

Just attack Republican Spain now and take Gibraltar :p
Also I'm assuming you're at war with the Soviets?

Yes, I do not have the resources to attack Spain, even more so because of the immediate reinforcements the English and the US would send.

This is much better :mischief:, Japan still failing though ( I turned off Democracies can start war, so America appearing soon should be out of the question + I will have my line nicely formed against the SU when Barbarossa starts.)

Greece, Yugoslavia and Portugal are on my soon to be dominated list.
