I wouldn't expect Barbarossa any time soon, its April '41 and Germany is still stalled in the low countries, the British launched a amphibious invasion at Amsterdam but that was quickly repulsed and now the British has invaded German controlled Denmark.

You could attack the Allies, giving Germany some breathing space.

Interestingly enough I'm playing a Japan game in HoI3 (SF + HHP 1.8) :)

Spoiler :

Medal of Honor, Pacific Assault. This Japanese soldier and I are racing. Whoever finishes loading his rifle first wins the right to shoot the other guy.

A lagoon filled with machine nests..

The game said "Destroy the enemy fighters", so I started firing short bursts from this machine gun at them when they did their strafing runs. There were four or so fighters, and not a lot of ammunition in the machine gun, so I ran out after whittling down two -- and this was being very conservative with my ammo, and not too inaccurate with my aim. I figured there must be another machine gun somewhere...

And found THIS, which is to fighters what water is to sugar. I felt like an idiot when I realized I could've used this to take out the fighters almost instantly instead of spending 10 minutes waiting and shooting off bursts.

I felt like MORE of an idiot when the Japanese counterattacked and I realized I really COULD HAVE USED that light machine gun. As it is I dropped four soldiers (rifle + bayonet) before being stabbed to death by another. That was because I "played the hero" and left our sandbagged area to see if I could approach the enemy soldiers from the side..

If you destroy the radio tower in time, this won't happen. It really is easy, just bypass a lot of the enemy and throw a couple grenades into the section where you currently are and you can destroy it in time. Then turn around and hop on a MG and have a field day.

One of the characters said "Now, we should've gotten that tower down EARLIER" in his post-level speech. I didn't even notice the explosives location on the tower until after I shot down the planes, though. This is my first time playing it, and I've learned to be very....slow-to-move and deliberate, because Japanese soldiers are a lot harder to see than Allied Assault's Nazis, and there's not as much leeway when it comes to health. I am getting better at using that rifle, though. (Allied Assault spoiled me: I'm used to using the MP-40 for most kills, switching to the rifle only for long-distance deliberate shots.)

You should have picked up the M1 Carbine that the guy who get's sniped in the very beginning of that mission dropped. :p

So I found a zombie dungeon in my singleplayer map (seed: bnm) and in the chest there was this:

A golden apple! First time i've gotten an unmodded one! (On croxis.net, theres a plugin which makes goldenm apples fall from trees sometimes)

Eh bridge battles don't have enough running back and forth for good old benny hill, but now I have that music stuck in my head. Glad to see corpses fall off the bridge into the river again, I was slightly taken back the first time I had a massive battle in a ford in Rome: Total War and looked down river to find it actually had enough of a bend to collect the bodies, by the end of the battle the shore was completely covered.
