The Battle of Borodino with ~100vs100. The result was a somewhat historical outcome with the French winning 4/5 rounds but it was a lot of fun. Despite a ping of 200+ there was no other lag on the server. Only issue we had was that we never had barricades to place when we got charged by the enemy cavalry. But anyway, I wish there were more battles like this (and preferable on a North American server, but it was neat to play with a bunch of Euro regiments I hadn't seen before).
The Russian Team as we got ready for a team photo near the end of the battle.
First round that was a bit of a false start (they restarted after this picture was taken). There was a lot of long distance shooting for us and despite having rifles its not easy to hit anyone especially if they are also skirmishers taking cover.
The FK lancers providing a mobile bullet shield.
End of the round, not realizing we were almost the only ones left alive on Russia. We finally caught up to these guys after chasing them around the map.
200 ping is amazing in melee
Executing an AFK Frenchman, I took the screenshot right before the kill message showed up. Damn ping.
Oh good we have our lancers and an infantry regiment to back us up
Oh crap place a barricade... oh crap there aren't any left! (Turned out another group had decided to place them next to existing stakes a bit back from the fighting).
Really wish we had some barricades.
Defending a small fortified artillery redoubt.
With our entire army here
Trading shots with enemy skirms.
Bloody enemy artillery.
Enemy hussars and skirms charge the redoubt.
It seems this plan didn't work :/
That barricade placement ಠ_ಠ
The French take the redoubt.
Got rushed up to the main artillery base to find a French regiment already charging in, my hastily aimed shot killed their leader.
Revenge upon one of the French dragoons as I shoot him off his horse! (some barricades would have been nice)
The battle continues!
And ended in victory for the Russians!
