SDC?

The box descriptions for this forum list it as being about the Hall of Fame and the Super Deity Challenge. My question is what the heck was the SDC? I'm assuming it died, whatever it was. If so, shouldn't we humbly suggest to Thunderfall that phrase be removed?

Okay, it's been ten days. I'm just going to assume no one knew what the SDC was. I suppose I could maybe find out by reading through "the thread" (some of you remember which one I'm talking about) but I'm hardly ever bored enough to do so.

i think it stands for Super Deity Challenge. it was a series of games on difficulty levels regent to deity(not just on deity). what i suppose made it the Super 'Deity' was that each game had to be won with the one chosen win type. if you won by the chosen win type, then you got 2 pts. if you won by another win type, then you got 1 pt and 0 pts if you lost. this tournament had already ended when i started coming to cfc, so i may be wrong on some of these points.

......a side tournament devised and run by JFL Dragon until he quit as Administrator/Moderator of HOF.

I asked Aeson this question back on August 24, 2003, when he took over HOF:
DID SUPER DEITY CHALLENGE (HOF) "BITE THE DUST"?

And this was his answer:
"That was JFL's pet project, and I don't intend on running a competition of that sort. So, looks like it's dead."

Up to that time, JFL had issued a couple of games in the SDC Series........was an interesting idea.

Well, that answers one of my questions (as to what it was). Now I really have to wonder if the teaser about it need to stay in the HOF description on the main forums list page.

I know it's a really trivial point to open a thread over or nitpick on, but my enthusiasm for the HOF is obviously unbridled...in case no one had noticed.

I totally agree with you superslug...........reference to Super Deity Challenge should be removed from the Forum headings.
