No tech trade, as I refrained from trading from anyone in this particular game, and no goody huts, as this was fairly late in the game. If I remember correctly, and the odds are that I don't, it happened shortly after or immediately after I finished the thinking machines wonder. I don't really know if this increased the beaker output or not. I don't know how to check that.

No it is a wonder that takes a very long time to create. I thought it was called thinking machine, but it might have been called something else. It has a picture of a man in a suit that looks a lot like Al Gore

OK, got it. That is a repainting of the "Internet Project". It automatically gives you all techs, which are already known by two players. So that is the expected behavior.

I am removing this in 1.6.5, since the existing projects don't really make sense for Dune.
 
Well I guess that explains it. I will have to finish this game out before I download 1.6.5 since I got a bunch of free techs haha.
 
I has always seemed to me that that project should ahve been under the Thinking Machines tech.

For that matter:

GE09: Shouldn't the Thinking Machine Factory be moved to the Thinking Machines tech?

How do you build a thinking machine factory before you have the tech that explains how thinking machines work? (Well, unless you are the Ix who apparently know all along since it is their unique resource.)
