Second game first question : atheism

I'm at the point where I'm proposed some irreligion/atheist civics, I have a religion with four tenets comfortably settled on my continent. I'm not sure now what those civics impact would be.

1. lose a state religion : I'm not sure what state religion does and what losing mine would do ...I'm expecting stab hit ?
2. lose the ability to further upgrade your religion : that should be ok because I have my four tenets and my holy sites right ?

You lose all your tenets and benefits from religion. There are sometimes situations in which going secular or atheist is advisable (trouble with neighbors etc.). However, if you have a religion, and you want to enjoy its bonuses, skip this civic.

It will niggle your neighbours a little but you can lose a lot of oomph, but it is late game so I do not bother. When/if it’s more balanced, I’d probably keep my faith.
