My greatest act of necromancy will be to revive this mod's thread.

Should i bring this mod back? My political views have changed significantly in the last 20 years since I worked on this but I think it would still be fun to play.

i know right? i was all young and excited back then. now i've got some grey hairs in my beard and some perspective.

i think this mod would be fun for people to blow off some steam or even make other online content based on the scenario

i have at least one artist that is interested in helping, i would need some more help as well, especially with the most recent modding framework. not sure how we are modding civ7 this, um... decade.

Well, that's quite an overstatement. Civ4 is still popular. True, there are alternatives now: not just 5-6-7 but also Millenia, Humankind and Ara. But none of those are as great and modder friendly as Civ4

There's also a very promising attempt to rewrite the engine into a more modern form:

Now that's a pretty picture. It's actually a decent replication.

The TUI is now my own lib instead of FTXUI. So I can have proper tooltips, scrollbars, and modifier key support.

And, this UI is written as a CvMainInterface.py file. So, yes, the TUI lib is exposed to python and the original UI will be overridden as normal python code.

I would like to give the world view a polish too. It was written using 16...

i have been playing a bit of Unciv Deciv mod lately so this TUI project is immediately enjoyable to see. I am looking for a game to play over SSH i wonder if this one works

that is good to hear civ4 is still popular. it was a super fun thing to work with early in my career.
