Secrets of the Pharaoh

Could I see the Ethiopian cities before I make up my mind?

I will post advice on ways to make IAARs as popular as RT's IAAR.

As I updated right when Ethiopia spawned, this is all they have at the moment.

I will vote 3, because hurting the rest of our nation to get one more city will hurt hard in the long run.

Babylonian Traders attacked by Egyptian Thieves!

Spoiler :
During a trade route from Babili, Babylon's capital, to Giza, Egypt's northernmost city, a caravan of Babylonian traders carrying a supply of food and clothes have been attacked by Egyptian thieves!

The thieves were soon captured by Egyptian officials and sentenced to execution. Before they were guillotined, they cried it was the will of Horus, and that Horus wanted war. The news quickly reached Hammurabi's temple in Babili, and caused a strong diplomatic drop between Babylon and Egypt, and brewed fears in Babylonian land that Egypt was a traitorous land.

Hammurabi also canceled open borders with Egypt to calm his people, and is unhappy with us.

OOC: Sorry, GreekAnalyzer, it's just the fact Horus is the god of war, and the thieves needed a reason to do so.

Bad News Guys. The apartments diagonally across from us are burning and it's near a main power line. I'm not sure if I'll have electricity in the next few days so if I don't post you'll know I'm either dead or without internet. My Aunt barely got out alive.

Edit- What happened was earlier yesterday, some guys were working on the power lines. Apparently, they messed up when putting everything back so some power lines sparked and set four apartments on fire. My Aunt only recovered some medicine that was in her fridge. One guy's apartment completely collapsed. The other 2 people had everything they owned burned up. Someone's dog got stuck in an apartment but survived. Last I heard, the dog was at the vet from burns and smoke inhalation. Luckily, the fire didn't spread to us which I was afraid of because of the embers flying in the air and there being a natural gas pipeline near the fire. When I said I was diagonally across, I meant diagonally across the road. I was typing from my laptop so don't worry, I was being safe. I stayed up too late because of the situation and woke up at 3:00 P.M.

Here is what happened.

Here is what happened.

Glad everything is ok. It was a sting in my brain because here it was 3:20 AM already, and I truly needed to sleep, but insomnia was haunting me last night (actually it has been doing this for the whole semester already). I only got some sleep at 5 AM too

Hey! Why was not consulted??

To DKVM, glad you, your Aunt, and the dog is okay. Just be safe.

Sometimes Egyptian executioners can be a bit... hasty.

I want all those involved in my office now! I live in the giant floating courthouse. nothing :D

SHHHH!!!!! The mortals aren't supposed to know what a courthouse is yet! :nono:

It appears we will be going to war with Ethiopia when their capital is founded! If they have founded any other cities, we will raze them to the ground!

Story update coming as soon as I can make it.

Following the fact that both the gods and people wanted war against Ethiopia, and to burn their cities to the ground, all cities of Egypt would change to training military units and moving them to their border with Ethiopia until they are ready to attack.

As Egypt continued building war chariots and stocking them on a hill near Aksum, Ethiopia's capital, news was sent to Ramesses that the very first division of warriors that Egypt has had was killed by a roaming pride of lions during their exploration.

Ramesses was saddened by the news, and prayed that they would have a good afterlife. Nonetheless, he continued training war chariots and catapults to make sure that the Ethiopians would as well.

Spoiler :

As the plague spread to Giza and Thebes, as well as Greece, Ramesses was in a panic. He is trying to train warriors to fight another nation, yet his own people are dying of disease. On top of all of that! Some new civilization came and only offered SALAD! Ramesses did open borders with this new neighbor, though.

The new war chariots would have to heal up once they got to the Egyptian-Ethiopian border. This would set the war back some time.

Eventually, the plague left both Egypt and Greece weak, but alive. To prevent another spurt of disease, Thebes and Giza were both building an aqueduct to improve their health.

Also, all the war chariots were healed and trained up, and were waiting at the Ethiopian border. Abydos had not finished a catapult in time, but they would finish training them anyway as they were so close to completing their training.

Egypt had conquered Aksum, and would move on to razing Ethiopia's southern city. Somehow, no war chariots were killed, but Ramesses had no complaints.

Also, Rome decided they didn't want open borders with Egypt anymore, and canceled their deal with Egypt. Ramesses was angry, as the open borders agreement only lasted a short while.

Egypt had razed Ethiopia's other city, Addis Ababa, and finished the Egyptian-Ethiopian war. Ethiopia was no more, and the only civilizations that could settle in Africa now were Carthage and Egypt. For now, at least, but we're not there, yet.

This battle was not won without the cost of lives though. Many Ethiopians were killed, and many divisions of war chariots lost their lives, but the war was won. Ethiopia was defeated. Ramesses sat back and wondered if it was worth it, but he knew he now had much more land to claim for his kingdom.

SC Decision!

Spoiler :
Now that we defeated Ethiopia, what do we do now?
1) Wait until Aksum is done rioting and continue to build archer. Then, another division of archers and barracks in Aksum for more military protection.
2) Wait until Aksum is done rioting, cancel the archer in Aksum, and build a division of scouts to continue the legacy of the warriors defeated by African animals. You never know what you can find out there.
3) Wait until Aksum is done rioting, build an archer in Aksum, convert to the new religion of Christianity in the lands of Abydos, and then build missionaries and a monastery to spread this religion to Thebes and to Carthage, in case they get a bit frisky.

Voting will end in 13.5 hours (noon EST tomorrow)

1 I changed it. Why build workers though if you captured some in the war?

Oh I did not see that I captured one.

Whoopsies, made a mistake in choice 1 of the SC decision. Please stand by as I edit it.

Edit: Fixed! Decision 1 has now been altered!

Fix 2 also please? :D

I think option 1 will end in the least amount of papyrus work for me.

I'm afraid I can't give the soldiers a good afterlife as their heart was heavy with crimes. They were eaten to oblivion.

subbed

I vote for option 2. Go scouts!
