Serbia

I really don't think Serbia is a lesser-known civ. What happen during the Yugoslavia Civial(SP) WAr, and in Kosovo and stuff like that.

Oh! the English they think that they are the most famous civ in all the world! well let me tell you something about it! Serbia had a country when many today countries didn't have (I'm talking about Europe of course! ;) ).

You know, my Serbian friend, without my lobbying, there wouldn't be a Stefan Dusan leaderhead and also no Chetnik unit... ;)

During the nato bombing of Serbia i was in London. One night i accidentally entered the yard of the british house of commons (it was open, and unguarded). I was stoped by two police officers, after i had walked to some cars, trying to find a way out. They thought that i was a terrorist, so a brief interrogation followed. They let me go (originally they thought i was a french terrorist) and one of them said that they couldnt be too carefull those days, due to "our war with Bosnia".
I noted that it was Serbia they were in war with. So the policeman replied:
"Serbia, Bosnia, same thing" ;)

So yes, to many english people Serbia is a lesser known civ :)

Don't take it personaly. I used to get stopped, searched and interogated every time I went to England. They're harmless. Just think of it as a weird traditional welcome-custom. If it ever happens to anyone else, little tip. Don't try and be funny. Cavity searches aren't as funny as they sound.

Seriously.

Interesting thread, just one note: Shouldn't the Chetnik be armed with a Yugo 59/66 SKS rifle? Or would that be a bit out-dated.... (I happen to own one of those fine rifles myself... Just about as reliable as an AK, but about 10X as accurate)

English, bah! Without Serbs, you`d all still be grubbing food with yer filthy hands and rusty daggers, ya serfs! ;)

What, you mean there's "another way"?

Now, that's just crazy talk.:crazyeye:

Yeah, fish and chips rolled up in newspaper!

I like the ship. At that scale the banner on the sale could also be used to represent the Byzantines if the civ colour was red. 2 for the price of one.

Actually, I have a serious question now:

In my Ancient Greek scenario, what Serbian Civ(s) would you suggest? I'll need their name(s), leader(s), UU('s) and city list(s). (Brackets implying that there may be more than 1).

From the Minoan/Mycenaean(SP?) age all the way through the Classical era to the Roman Conquest (although the Roman conquest will be a very small part of the scenario).
