SF Giants baseball?

I'll just drop in to say that Barry Zito's contract might be the worst in the history of professional sports. I hope you don't have it hanging over you for the next 10 years, ala the NY Knicks :)

Well I can at least guarantee that if I wanted to go I'd talk to you about tix first. I usually only have a time for a few games a year though.

This season may be interesting. For once the Giants may have a decent rotation, and they have some interesting youngsters coming up through the ranks on offense.

I'm on the 10,000 person waiting list for cubs season tickets. Even though I don't live in chicago, or ever plan on it. I would get them just in case the giants become really good and you're unable to get them in the future. Try posting on craigslist, or you might be able to make a killing selling them on ebay.

I think maybe scoring runs is going to be their biggest problem :scan: .

I'm a big Giants fan. :goodjob:
It looks like if you get tickets, some of us might take them off your hands. :D
If I lived in the city, I would definitely have season tickets myself.

Right. Which is why it will be interesting, I think. Sandoval might turn out alright, Renteria is sucky but still better than having a black hole in the lineup, Uribe can knock out a few homers, Rowand is overrated but decent, and Molina has some pop.

They have a cavernous ballpark and good pitching. With good pitching and defense, I think if they can manage at least an average offense they can do something. Their bullpen is a question mark.

Personally I am far more invested in the Red Sox, but I also grew up here as a kid so I have some love for the bay area teams and will root for them when there is no conflict of interest. And I admit, there is something a little more special when you are rooting for the team that needs to prove something.

I see at least 3 of you have some interest. Let me elaborate a little bit more.

The tix are in left-center, 7 rows off the field. Bleachers. They are cheap: $15 per seat... 2 seats per game .... $30 per game.

That is less than the face value that the Giants sell them at in on a per-game basis (IE if you walked up the box office and bought them). PLUS, the Giants are now have 3 tiers of pricing. So, at a minumum, these are $17 each, and scale up to as much as $34 each. And.. that is without the service charges you'd pay for stubhub or ticketmaster, etc...

So, even if you ate a couple games you would still come out ahead. Plus as part of our season ticket group, you'd have rights to post-season.

I'm trying to get to 8 partners. That would be 10-11 games each at a cost of ~$320 each.

So far I have 4 partners. I need 4 more to do this.

If you have any questions or what more info, please post away.

To see the pricing clicky clicky. Pick "Left Field Bleachers" and you'll see the single-game prices are either $17, $25, or $34.
