For tech, we are done for the most part so feel free to go emance and 0 science for 5 turns buying anything not nailed down.

lots of good stuff that can be built and we have more than a few towns with utterly pathetic hammers.

getting a broadcast tower and hospital in pigpen is vital to that town.

Pre-turn:

Cyrus is building the Eiffle Tower, and Hollywood.
He has been scooping up all the wonders lately, but his cities are
starving. I hope he gets himself sorted out.

Switching civics, going environmentalism (for health.)
We don't trade much with anyone, besides Cyrus (he needs the health too,
and follows our lead in civics it seems). Also grab Universal Suffrage
(I know, that's what you meant Liq, we are already emacipated)

(With suffrage from representation, we lose a few beakers, but we have
a whole empire allied with us now, so 3 extra beakers ain't no big deal.
That health will be real sweet though, +6 health from civic and more from hospitals,
now I'll check what our demographics say)
There is health all over the place! Our people are the healthiest folks
on the planet!

I buy PigPen it's Hermitage, move onto other things with that city.
Computers in 5 now, but our combined research will still catch Sally I hope.

I think Hatty has had it. Unless we can prod her into inviting us into this war, it may all be over for her. Her power rating has crashed, and most of what is left for her would be naval forces and catapults. I think she's done. If she is still pleased with us, why doesn't she ask for our aid?

Nice move cutting Monty's oil. I smirked when you sabotaged Toku, and he didn't even threaten you. He may be nuts, but not that crazy it seems. Maybe if things go well, and Liq flaunts some JPG's at Toku, he will flip out again and take another run at the muffinator. (Bring it Toku!)

I doubt we'll ever be able to sway HC from voting for us, unless maybe we build an airport and start airlifting missionaries to his cities and try to convert him to our cause. Even then, not sure if it would change his mind. But Monty did attack him, did Cyrus ever go to war with HC? Hmmm.

I am nervous about Monty taking all of Hatty's empire, and then signing a permanent alliance with someone like Alex or Nappy. If Monty signs an alliance, he may become bigger than us & Cyrus! Not good.

I wish Nappy or Toku would just face the inevitable and declare on us. We need their land and population. All they are doing with it are being free and independent states. What's the point in that, if you could be an occupied country? Heh heh.

Somebody attack somebody! Okay liq, if anybody can be annoying it is... um, well,... just do your stuff and let's start World War I! (The war to end all wars, but not the series clincher)

Can we trade oil to Hatty? Something like that may allow her to make a few decent units to fight monty with.

As I begin my turn-set, I am filled with glee. :dance:

First thing, I target Monty's capital city. It is his center of mass, no question.
Even if the fight gets nasty, we should be able to take his capital
from him. From then on, he loses all his income from Budhism. It will
be a hit he won't be able to recover from, and will remove a lot of culture pressure from any other conquests I make in the region during my turn.

I split one huge stack into two, because I notice Monty is bringing up lots of artillery to soften us up.

It won't work long term, but I want to minimize the
damage he could possibly do to us. I don't want this blitz to stall due
to healing.

A look up north reveals that Cyrus is attacking along a wide front against
light resistance.

Monty must have left nothing at home to fight with! With us
attacking from the south, Cyrus attacking from the north, we may just squeeze Monty like he's in a vice. Nothing his expiditionary force in
Hatty's lands can do for him now. Too many of our troops are driving too
deep into his territory already for him to save himself.

IBT: Monty threw half a dozen artillery pieces at our major stack of
doom. He has a lot less artillery now, but we got a lot of units hurt by
collateral damage.

There is much unhappiness in our lands. Too bad, really, but we are fighting
this war anyway, folks.
It's looking like Monty has been sending troops from the war with Hatty back
into his mainland to defend himself. Too little, too late, but it does
mean this may take a bit longer.

Now I start rolling the dice. I see Monty bringing up troops, and I want
that capital of his before he can properly defend it.
His capital has been reduced to 0% defense, and I've used a few airstrikes
as well, just to soften him up a bit. Still, most of our attacking tanks
will be injured, only a few of our tanks are unhurt. This may get ugly, but
I decide to go for it. In for a penny, in for a pound!

I have been trying to slide some of our medic's on the nappy border towards
fighting with monty. I got a weird MedicII gunship now, waiting to be set
free to set up a MASH at the new Lurker style Budhist holy city.

Heh heh. Monty, you are so totally going to get it!

I intend to use the extra cash for occasional purchasing.

Hinduism spread to Calixtlahuaca. That may help matters in that city.
I spot a nice target, Monty has emptied troops from Xochicalco!
Only one infantry/artillery unit remain. I hope Cyrus takes it.
If not, I'll see if I can't send something there to take it next
turn.

I use a couple of airstrikes on Monty's gunship/artillery outside his
old capital.

I move in a healthy modern armor to remove his threatening
gunship from outside the city.
Our healthy modern armor is untouched, and is victorious!

Now we are much better able to win this war without production grinding
to a halt. Sorry citizens, you brought this on yourself.

I find a sleeping stealth bomber at Kumbi, which I use to pound Monty's
stack outside his old capital! Yes! I also throw all our injured fighters
(that are over 50% health) to further injure his stack. Our fighters were
interecepted by his SAM's, but didn't die! Further damage done to his stack.
I hope to make them so injured that if they do attack our units, they

Monty has the audacity to bring an injured tank into our borders near Shaggy!
The nerve! I bomb him with our newly completed Stealth bomber.
I follow up with an attack by our waiting tank sitting in Shaggy.

Easy victory. Our tank needs 1 more XP before I would promote him to
modern armor. Don't want to loose that valuable XP he has earned.

I bomb the heck out of our next target, but lose a spy who attempted to
sabotage Monty's Hydro Plant production in that city. Rats.

We now have our medic gunship in Monty's old capital. Healing will occur
much more rapidly. I hope to leave defenders soon, and take another city
before I hand the war into Scowlers capable hands.

I have been pounding Teotihuacan. It is now at 0% defense, units are
injured inside, and there is another stack of Monty's to the cities NW.
I used airstikes on these as well.
I have two modern tanks moving towards this city, followed by a marine and
a SAM. They will be joined by reinforcements from Monty's old Capital.

I intend to take this city, and crash Monty's cultural lock on the region.
Cyrus has made good progress in the north. Still one city NE of the budhist
holy city he could afford to take, I wish he would. Other than that, we
are really hurting Monty bad.

We begin our assault on Teotihuacan!
We may not get it this turn, but I want to cut his numbers before he can
counterattack us in the field.
His stack waiting NW of the city has been bombed, just to get them off our
backs (I hope) after our assault.

All that Monty has left in his homeland is Texcoco to the NW, and
Xochicalo in the NE. His capital is now in old Egyptian Territory.
To get there, I have been working on a transport. If we can get in
one of his lightly defended cities, we can airlift the remainder of
our invasion that way. In theory, it may work.

Hinduism spread to the Budhist Holy city

* I have built up a nice little army at the foot of Monty's NE city.
We have a handful of tanks, modern tanks and a marine. Stealth Bombers
should be able to reduce city defense to 0% on scowlers turn, cause collateral
damage, and the numbers should get us the city.

* I have a tank and modern tank closing on Monty's NW city. There isn't much
defending it. A few bombing runs to reduce defenses, or simply injure the
defender should be fine. Tanks vs. Artillery is the win for us.

As I see it, Monty's homeland is lost to him. We are set to steal his
last two cities there, and he only has one stack of units (gunships) remaining
that have so far not been able to do much of anything.

I have also been thinking ahead, and have sent a transport towards Shaggy.
We can load this up with a few troops, and then airlift reinforcements into whatever
city we take from Monty in the old Egyptian lands.
The transport can use some defenders (destroyers etc).

We need a hindu missionary at our newly captured city. Two more at our next
prizes, and that should be it.
