zerkesees is dead right. NO alliance against Ottoman so we can make peace once we pushed them back onto their exile. And leave them alive there.

I like the plan to declare against Spain and sign in Korea and Portugal so they move all their units up into Korean land. Once that is done, we can sign Korea against Portugal and easily take Portugal's cities.

Of course, sign Ottoman in now against Inca. We should be able to fight spears and archers easily.

Leave the prebuild, but maximize science so we can cut a turn or 2. KT should be available and we should make it. It would be huge if we succeed with this little risky play. We need that to beat he other teams
 
You might want to start more wars on other Islands such as the French land. But make sure not too many units will be able to reach our shores as our cities are currently working on infra

Before I go, consider pulling extra swords from everywhere they are not vital and upping them into maces ... boy we do need reinforcements.

we need to decide whether we go for optional navigation/economic or gunpowder not waiting for he AI

wars:
with Ottoman out of the way, we can strike Egypt and Portugal

Portugal is currently fighting against Spain, all their stacks have gone there I think
(and our deal still lasts for 13 turns)

Egypt has been fighting Dutch without any effect it seems
we could go after them and sign in Persia as well
we want Thebes for the lux and commerce there

(Compared to both, we do have a strong military, that really surprises me)

The war on the other continent seems going well with Arabia making progress

we can still decide to start more phony wars, but due to very limited home defense, I did not opt for that
our capital will soon start producing 3 turn knights, that should help us for the 2 wars

checking the results, spooks must have gone for some ROP rape and take Japan and Aztec land in one swift move. They did not have SoZ for sure

As for our next war, I would sign in Persia, hope that further distracts Egypt and send maybe 4-6 units there and take Thebes. Meanwhile, we can build up some military for our next campaign.
Portugal should not be an issue as all their units are away.

All other targets will be further away, we might want to start with Carthage and sign in the others there?
Or, how about going for America/Vikings with the ultimate bounty France? We might get an arm there and with that, we could go and kill them?

We really need to make a decision, whether we try and wait for the AI to research gunpowder for us while going for navigation + economics. I thought about it and am still not sure what is best. All the while France/Persia have come up with invention+chivalry. Not very convincing...
 
Overall looks very good.

I am confused as to why we signed an alliance with Portugal, as we now are stuck for 13 turns. Not a big deal but it might slow our growht rate a little.

Portugese had huge stacks hanging around, which I thought our very limited military doesn't want to deal with.

We now have a few turns to regroup and by the time we shifted the units (+new support) over, the deal is up anyway.

I rather had them leave and burn their units than slogging through ons of units and losing vital military. We can ship over a few units to quickly take out Egypt. Persia should be a military monster soon with KT.
 
Looking good ThERat!! Let's keep those wars going against the AI's that don't have cash. The good AI's need space.
 
Looks nice. Looks like we want military over Smith's, so I'd send research on to the bottom path. None of the optionals will give us anything we want to build right now. Glad we got Astronomy the turn before KT completed, rather than the other way around.

I got pretty stressed whether our prebuild will make it, we were lucky and this should compensate for the bad luck regarding MGL's.

Ok, if we all agree to skip the optional techs, we should go for gunpowder after banking.
Once we have chemistry, we might want to trade that to France and Persia, they might just research metal for us (not sure but worth a try).
Once we have the last tech of the age, we MUST attempt the 2 tier slingshot. Get every Sci Civ into the IA and hopefully with some accumulated cash (and gpt) + optional techs, we should be able to get all 3 first tiers...

Skin of our teeth with the prebuild but it will pay off. This is going to be big.

We need to take out egypt, but portugal will require a lot less out of our military and we'll need some turns to recover once we have Coper in the capital. A few good turns of knights wouldn't hurt at all, though we might want to go all MDI with the low amount of riding involved in this map. Patience and safe goings pay off in these kinds of settings.
