I just checked an idea to get global peace:
Most annoying rivals Ottomans, Portugese and Cartaghe would make peace for a town (and maybe some cash).
What do you think if we just gave up our starting island for peace with those three? That would allow us to retake our american towns (now Aztec and still empty) and improve our new core. I think that's our best bet right now.

We are still at war with Zulus, Persia, Dutch, Maya, Hittites, Byzantines and now also the Aztecs.

I had begun to disband some reg warriors and cats on our middle-old world. We have to much unit support to pay.
Not sure where to found the next town, on the settler's current spot or one tile south of it...
We need to share mines and water better between our new core's towns...

Had a bit of a look at the save - we certainly still have a challenge.
I would love to get chivalry for some sams - we need quality rather than quantity - sams and some trebs to weaken gives us a army that can still do damage

I note Korea, Sumeria and England lack chemistry as do Zulus whom we remain at war with
England lack both Chem and Theology
- all the above have Chivalry
If we could get chem by hook or by crook we have some trading opportunities - but even putting all our citizens to taxmen wont get us enough to buy chem

The trade embargoes are hurting us - the only potential recipient of our surplus horses and wine (we could sell both horses if we get chivalry) is Scandinavia - they offer13gpt for horses and wines, 27 if we add iron (which we dont wish to do)
Arabs, Babs, France, Germany and Iroq have lux avail for sale - the cheapest is French furs for 15gpt - more than we save dropping lux slider 10% so not worth it, I think.

We can get peace with Mayans giving them Mono .. I vote for gifting any AI that are so backward they cant research or trade for a tech that might benefit us.


Re settler - I vote for 1S - 1 less jungle to clear, next settler 1NE of mountain N of Boston

I would want some core defence before sending the armies out as cavs can reach us via rop with our neighbours

If we get something real good (like chemistry) I'd even sell our Iron for 20 turns. We'll need it however for our next offense. America I guess...

I'd also love to find out where TGL is. That might give us a nice elevation...
Maybe we could effort an embassy one day? Some maps wuld also be nice...
 
Had double shift (14 hours ) Fri, then working all day Sat. Hoped to play today but the kids are on school hols so have hogged the good computer. Hopefully I get my turn soon ...

All new SGotm players please spend some time to read our team thread for SGotm 12 (13 is not too examplary :blush: ) to find out how team work works in SGotms. Just to deveolp a sense for the invisible borders between arbitrary acts and team decisions. But I'm pretty sure that is right what you guys would consider reasonable.

Hi guys ! Let's see whether I will be of any help. I have played AW games only in civ3 for the last 1 - 2 years, so letting an AI live is not very attractive to me. :rolleyes:
