SGOTM 14 - One Short Straw

I think we're short on tiles. We could use settlers near Mali. Were you planning a switch to Caste?
Edit: xpost - yeah, we're short on those 100c pops...

If we're short on time at the end, remember that Ctrl + clicking on a City bar [City name + Food + Hammers, etc] on the main screen (getting the City bars to highlight in white), followed by Ctrl + clicking on Build Culture could be a fast way to enable that build item in every City.

Since we can't balance our books, we could launch the Golden Age now... not ideal but it might help with the 100 Culture in some Cities? Maybe?

I don't know if doing so would beat a Great Artist.

Does whoever isn't playing have time to test what a Culture Bomb will do to a City in revolt? I.e. Will the Cultural Borders actually expand far or should we only use it in a newly-built City due to the borders potentially only expanding a little bit in a captured City?

I don't know what you're doing for revolts, but if you're still revolting occasionally to get Anarchy, then going into and out of Bureaucracy can work, since we don't care about the costs associated with Bureaucracy... and as long as we're whipping what units we need to whip (such as Settlers), we can switch to Caste System after any whipping when the time comes.

We definitely want to stay in Police State, though.

I don't know that we can win this by 1150 AD... We have the troops and upcoming border pops. You must be exhausted, and I'm pretty tired, slightly drunk and slightly out of the loop. I think we just keep taking Malinese cities as fast as possible and wait for the win. We should have it by 1200 AD at the latest, but I think 1170 or so is a more likely date.

Edit: in any case, you should just play it out now. We are 80 minutes from the deadline...

Yes, I played the entire turn, more or less, then it locked up. GOtta redo it because you don't know what I did and I loss some units stupidly.

If you know how, you can also set rally points for some Cities, such as Cities that are building sacrificial Warriors.

If I recall correctly, you click on a City bar on the main screen (not Ctrl + click since doing so would activate all Cities) and then hold down the shift key while right-clicking with your mouse on top of a non-City square... if it worked, it should produce a yellow circle and newly-created units from said City will auto-move to said yellow-circled square.
