SGOTM 16 - U'nu'sual S'us'pec'ts

That sounds great - he's a fast explorer and might pick up enough barbarian XP to qualify for Heroic Epic. I think we should prioritize scouting, so fully support sending Woody out as soon as possible.

Good luck, good playing, green from me.

Green.

Are you whipping in city2 the same turn that you switch - with no bulbs invested? Less efficient, but speed to the wonders is most important.

Perhaps rename the cities in the spreadsheet to match the map.

Well after this weekend I'm one year closer to getting my bus-pass:D. So I was out last night. Just read through the discussion, and the Google Docs page, and the plan looks good to me too.

In relation to the Google spreadsheet, I keep forgetting, but I need full access. Oh and I think we should change the column marked "tax" to "research", as that is what the slider is named in-game. Edit: my email to use is briandmoseanachain@ [the providers of the document].com

And finally on a note completely unrelated to the game, anyone watch the hurling?

The lighthouse and the settler that are whipped in city #2 (GP Farm) both have hammers invested prior to whipping. The lighthouse is the build before the switch to a settler (carry over from the last turnset).

Um.... guys? Could we have waited until after my turnset to rename the cities on the spreadsheet? I've been practicing with the old nomenclature and I am easily confused. :crazyeye:

No matter, I will run through it one more time before playing anyway. I'm looking to play tonight (~6 hours) since I'm currently entertaining a bunch of 4th graders.

Great, glad to hear it.

Do whatever you want with the spreadsheet - it's for you while playing the turnset, so modify it as best serves that need.

Both lighthouse and settler are whipped for maximum overflow, 29 & 28 hammers each I believe.

We switch to settler because we cannot whip lighthouse into GLH until we get Masonry several turns later.

Some entrails from looking at the progress page.

Phoenix Rising
SIP, and settled city 2 the same turn as us.
They have researched Mining->BW->AH, in that order.

Kakumeika
After 20 turns, their power has not increased at all, so they must have lost the Warrior, as I can't imagine them not researching mining in the first 2 techs.

Maple Sporks
Settled on t1
Researched Mining->BW
They seem to have built several warriors, as they have 4 extra power than us at 2600bc. This could also be techs like Hunting

Misfit gypsy Nuts
Settled on t2
Researched Mining->BW

How do you get all this info? Where?

Thanks :)

We will build a warrior in city #3 on turn 69, so we can send the Woody 2 warrior stationed there out exploring just before that.

Oh, and please try to make sure that Woodie 2 stays on forests/jungles. Woodie 3 is such a useful promo (it gives us a medic with almost the same healing powers as a Medic 3 great general).

This is just from examining the graphs. Some teams are a lot easier to figure out than others.

If you haven't got this link bookmarked, then you should. It explains everything you ever wanted to know about the demographics screen. :)

Another good one is the beg rules here

I wouldn't have been able to analyse our demographics without that link :p
But I meant where can you see their graphs? :)

Sorry.

I wasn't thinking.

edit: This is the same page you get the current save from when it is your turn

Ducks just submitted a save. On t43 (2280bc) they have not yet settled City 2 or they did it this turn.
This could equate with settling on coast and building City 2 where we built City 3.
