This will be a very basic PPP. Well to start off with anyway..

City builds..

I will whip anything that's mostly built. Every where else the priority will be to spread religion. Build units. Settlers for the East as well.

Abandon world/nat wonders.

Tech..

Finish astro. Part tech music till we can trade optics for it. Then onto engineering.

Workers concentrate on improving food and building roads for faster movement.

Military aims..

Set up some troops for AC. Set up some troops for Buddhist City. Set up some troops/shipping for Conf cities. Note our military isn't very strong atm so this will be a building turnset.

Get navigation bonus.

Load up game after 5 turns for more input.

What holy cities do we want to keep/raze?

I disagree here. Each settled Great Prophet is very valuable. Chopping AW and NE and running Priests should be on the table as an option at least.

I think this is a great question. We only need 3 religions with 30 cities. We have 274 cities now.

Ok no prob going for AW/NE combo. Not sure we would have the pay back time but would save 4 temples per priest. Trouble for me is the temples are easy to whip. Missionaries/spreading will take longer.

As for religions we have 2 atm. For ease/speed I would keep the Buddhist and Conf (when we find it) and possibly raze the rest. Bearing in mind we still have a lot of land to claim.

AW has 186 hammers in it. Possible 180 from chops leaves us 134 to finish it. Plus 250 for Nat Epic - 125 with marble. Plus of course will need specialist slots to make NE worth it. In which case AW seems best to finish.. :)

Saying that Marble Arch will build NE in 6 turns and has 4 spec slots atm. Perhaps that will be better as NE city?

The whole idea of AW was to combine it with NE, so if we're going to build them in different cities I'm not much interested in AW. :p Not going to pop priests otherwise.

City builds..

I disagree with this. We are not yet close enough to the end of the game to go to "whip everything all the time" mode. Whipping should still be compared to what tiles are being whipped away. We still need plenty of commerce to support our empire and our still-expanding military. We still need plenty of ongoing hammers. Don't be too quick to whip away decent tiles.

On keeping holy cities, I would definitely keep at least two more, maybe even more. The more religions we have to work with, the more missionaries we can build. If a holy city controls a decent amount of land I would keep it to contribute towards domination. As long as we stay no state religon it is not like holy cities will have a shortage of culture. We will need to send missionaries to make sure they meet the 2+ religions per city rule, but we are going to have to do that with all our cities.

Plus, check the holy cities first! The Hindu one had the shrine pre-built. You never know what Pollux put into these cities.... :lol:

I'm certainly not going on a mass whipping exercise. I was thinking of buildings that are mostly built then concentrate on the missionaries/units etc. Certainly no plan to over whip.

OK, sounds good. I was just concerned -- "I will whip anything that's mostly built" implies whipping just about anything. :lol:

On military, we definitely need more. Especially our best/most modern units like elephants and macemen. Plus we need more siege units. Even though they are slow, we will need a good supply of them for handling cities and large stacks. Especially against longbow and maceman defenders.

We have a lot of units right now, but they are scattered all over the place. Engineering would really help to get faster road movement. Guilds and knights will also help -- with vassalage we can get 2-promo mounted units even without stables.

Well very quiet few turns apart from stupid barb activity. Lots in the North.

Still trying to find a route to the Taoist city. Might be away?? Not found conf or jewish cities either though not long away (hopefully) :lol:
 
Edit. doesn't look like I will be able to play tonight though will play some more turns tomorrow and get some input.

I will add moving troops from East to West is very very slow.. :lol:

I warned you, or the person before you, or the person before that....You must keep defenses on our nets! That's why we had "so many" Triremes. 2 barb galleys kill our 1 Trireme and then we are screwed.

A Spy was just assigned in Tours, needs to be a Priest.

Why did we never build a Library in HF? It is our second highest commerce city.
