When you move him from deer now and retreat with wounded warrior, barb will follow to tile where wounded warrior is now. Then fresh warrior cannot move, he has to wait one turn for barb to attack. Then settler is already moving to deer, so our warrior will still be 2 turns away from forest hill when our dudes should be sent towards home.
Maybe best is still to retreat and move fresh warrior together with wounded warrior on hill. Let barb suicide (hope he does) and then escort settler with 2 warriors. We can build another warrior. Settling is delayed by one turn, but this is no big deal. Only problem is that cap is growing into unhappiness too early. We should maybe stop here and test how to deal with this.
