SGOTM 23 - Turbo Ants

I have decided....

T111 chop(Par), chop(opo), 3x wkshp
T112 chop(opo), mine Opo, 3x wkshp,
T113 2x chop(opo), 2x mine, 1x wkshp Par-ne
T114 5x wkshpPar-ne
T115 finish 2nd opo chop (not needed for 114 knight. goes into t117 knight)

Yea, I think I want to play 1t today. just want to decide on that Opo mine.
Easy, go ahead and do the worker-turns that gets teh FC workshop on T112, and on T113 use 2 workers to finish the Opo-2w1n chop and complete the mine. Meanwhile work the 4h hill instead of the fish. 20+20+51.

Oh, Athens rax is the only other decision before rolling the turn.
It'd be nice to have those promos to use for healing even if we don't take medic and march.

You said Fred needs the workshop, but so does Berlin.

So Fred gets a citizen. That ok? or am I missing something.

edit: Oh just on T112 fred needs wkshop

While we're getting Stalin's 50 gold we could also put him at war with someone. Bad idea?
As long as it doesn't affect our ability to capitulate him, why not? BUt does it? He can have Nottingham, Mehmed's city or KK's cities. Just makes it easier for us to conquer everyone. We lose some capture-gold, but do we care?

swapping these 2 galleys:
galley6 has to go to SQ to pickup Oporto knight (means no roads needed).
New CEB galley can pick up the 2 dropped at london T114 (it can't pickup at SQ without road)

reminder: this is for the non-amphibious Hastings plan.

I doubt he will mobilize fast enough to get KK. I'd like to get a worker from Mehmed. As much as I'd like to bribe him and learn something...I just worry that him being at war causes too many unknowns. If he did some sort of peace deal, we might have peace vassal issues...but we aren't really planning to peace vassal.
bah, without a solid reason, I think I want to skip it.

I do have to say, he has a lot of units roaming around.

I think I'll not roll the turn and sleep on this and other small things.

reminder: this is for the non-amphibious Hastings plan.
I think this is a mistake. Maybe a big mistake. Churchill has at least 2 roaming HAs. What I like most about grabbing Hastings and Canterbury amphibiously is not having to attack extra defenders.

There are ways to get the road built.

I agree. That's why I moved everyone except the 9xp..possibly amphib...knight.
I'd like the option to go amphib even tho I don't like wasting all that promo-healing.

So to keep the option open, I'll move that knight west. So 111, 112, 113, and 115...like you originally said. I was hoping to get 111 to go east since he can get there on time.

Another option is to "sacrifice" the Canal CIty knight. It costs us all of ~3t on one knight arriving at Sal or wherever that knight was going. Might even save us some lost citizen cash in the process. Plus, how much do we lose each turn we delay getting any of our four island cities?

We could even consider going back to 5 galleys and capture 3 island cities on T116. If London is our 5th island city, delaying it a turn or two doesn't cost us anything. (I build the SQ galley instead of the accuracy cat.)

T112

An extra island city is ~20gpt. I stuck with the cat plan, 4 galleys.

Gandhi
Bombay whipped a cat.
City is taken with 2 HAs, no losses.
Medic uses 3 moves to get 2 workers on the shoreline. I can't find any more. A sign said there were 4. Hmm..
settler is in the city. workers...on board the galley?
I'm thinking a Cease Fire to teleport out of there.

Mehmed borders expand! Doh! We lose a fish among other stuff. good thing we have OB or it would have messed with our boats too.

Mao's first city has archer, archer, spear, spear, axe, axe, axe, not, joking.
20% flat land across a river.

Scout finds barb culture NE of KK. not sure where his other city is yet.
I mean other cities:eek:. He has 7 total.
His first 5 are land-locked, so I'm confused.

I seem to have pressed the automate worker key :(
It was, of course, one of the critical workers near FC. I had just re-worked them for the fourth time to get the road at SQ. Now for a 5th...

I was able to map Church completely. 4 roaming HAs and sword, 3 workers, several new defenders.

pausing for the night.... uploaded.

Stalin has 303K power, Mehmed has 66K, assuming Gandhi is about 80K, the average of the 4 remaining is 143K. We know that Sal and KK are not very strong, Churchill's doing pretty well, so Mao could easily have upwards of 200K. Luckily, he doesn't have Monarchy yet, another reason to beat down on Churchill asap. Also luckily we have our supermedic at Mao's Place. And only 4 critical cities to capture, two on hills. Mao despises Gandhi so if we're lucky that's why he had a build-up there.

Not sure we want to attack over the river. Will that cost us some units?

We can't bribe Mao out of Slavery so he'll whip like a banshee. How many knights should we have before we DOW him? I think at least 10, maybe closer to 15. Enough so that they can leapfrog each other, capturing city after city while the other group heals.

Maybe we should clean up Gandhi while waiting for re-inforcements. We could be asking for trouble if we jump the gun.

Oh, I just saw that you uploaded. I'll take a look a bit later on.
