That tile should not flip to Egypt. It's in Athens' 3rd ring and Alexandria's 4th ring. Thebes doesn't touch that tile.

Do you have a screenshot from your test game setup? Truncation during the jumpToNearestValidPlot() calculations and prioritization of tiles with low X and Y values can sometimes lead to counterintuitive results.
When is the Alexa GS coming? I've read you calculated as early as T69 or as late as T73 in which case Thebes would pop first. Any new calcs on this? What's our gut feeling? T69 unless she changes what she's doing?
And how does any of this affect our DoW? like does it affect our city target? or the turn we DoW.
Is the only reason we're going to Thebes first because it's on a hill and we don't want to deal with wihpped archers there later? It's better to own the Glib first and get working on a GS. If we can get Math T69 and DoW then capture Alexa T70, won't we get a CF T71? Hatty shouldn't make hardly any units and go back to settlers. T80 Hatty would go back to caste maybe.
If she whips any units, they might be catapults or War chariots. Both get shredded by our HAs

Yes, my understanding is that we were worried that she would whip Thebes down and we'd face more units if we took it second. You brought up a good point about a temporary CF after taking Alexa. That would give us time to get our spy back in place for round two of tech steals. It would also give Hatty time to build a settler so that she can live for however long it takes us to steal all of the techs we want from her.

A HBR or Alpha gift should easily be enough to get her to pleased, but would also cause a diplo hit with Alex and Joao.
A beg to switch into Slavery should be successful, assuming Caste is not vastly more valuable to her than Slavery. But that would lock us into a 10t peace treaty and delay our tech steal mission.
The reason we want her to pop her next GP in Alexa is that we want her to bulb Philo for us, right? That means we have to give her Alpha anyway. It might be best to give her Alpha before she decides to put beakers into it after Math.
Have we considered a completely amphibious attack
I'm not a fan of putting her into slavery or giving her alphabet early
Oh, I'm not really arguing in favor of that option. I just think we should at least consider it.
I like your t69 Math + t70 Alexa plan, but the one big(?) downside of it is that we would give up on stealing Philo. Is cheap, early Philo more important to us than getting Math/Currency/..., GLib, Mids asap? In other words, how much would we be willing to delay those techs and wonders for a chance to steal Philo from Hatty?

why not early alhpa?
My current thinking is alpha now, monitor his gps, revolt her to slavery as late as possible, which is probably t69 if we're daring.
I want philosophy. I was only suggesting the 69 Dow if she pops the GS that turn. I thought that was the turn LC thought it was coming but I wasn't sure as I was catching up on my reading
I just don't see the point of giving her Alpha unless we know she popped the GS

I'm hung up on the teleporting because a fake war to steal math gives up OBs with Hatty, cutting off our galleys. So our best option is simultaneous. I think We can have 6 HAs + 3 galleys leaving T69, DoW t72.
Won't a t72 be too late to switch her into Slavery before the Thebes GP pops? How would we get her into Slavery without a DoW?

Key to remember we're competing other SG teams, not the AIs. Other teams might luck out that Hatty techs CoL after Math, guaranteeing a GS in Alexa and then Philo.
Also, us gifting Hatty alpha+Hbr ensures she techs something else for her to steal. In fact, alpha now makes Currency cheaper for her, increasing her chances of teching it after math slightly.
