Plan with revisions looks good to me.
I went to play my turnset and Hatty won't accept hunting for fishing. She will accept AH for it, but that means we won't be able to trade for pottery when it becomes available. Are we fine with this, or should we wait for pottery to become available to see if she would accept AH+hunting for fishing +pottery?
AH for Fishing is a pretty steep price. One option would be to put a turn of research into Fishing and see if she would make the trade then. Fishing is pretty cheap, so one turn of research should cut the effective price by a noticable percentage. We would like the tech so Copper City can improve its fish tile, yummy food == growth.
Sounds good. I'll put a turn in fishing after writing to get the trade.
Turn 45: OB with remaining AI. Note: Fred has Cu. 50% into fishing.
Turn 46: Meet Darius. Trade for fishing. Hatty has AH, so no trading for pottery. Note: Stalin has no metal, but has chariots. Alex has only archers.
Turn 48: Meet Kublai Khan. Stopped here. Alex's 2nd city culture popped and is now covering the SE spot. Do we want to move it or go for the NE spot?
Turn 44, 2240 BC: You have discovered Writing!
Turn 44, 2240 BC: You have trained a Warrior in Paris. Work has now begun on a Barracks.
Turn 46, 2160 BC: Paris can hurry Settler for 3⇴ with 20ℤ overflow and +1⇤ for 10 turns.
Turn 46, 2160 BC: Copper City has grown to size 2.
Turn 46, 2160 BC: Stalin is the worst enemy of Frederick.
Turn 46, 2160 BC: You have discovered Fishing!
Turn 46, 2160 BC: Darius I has founded Pasargadae in a distant land.
Turn 47, 2120 BC: Copper City can hurry Work Boat for 1⇴ with 8ℤ overflow and +1⇤ for 10 turns.
Turn 47, 2120 BC: Hatshepsut will trade Sailing
Turn 48, 2080 BC: Stalin is the worst enemy of Churchill.
Turn 48, 2080 BC: The borders of Copper City are about to expand.
Turn 48, 2080 BC: Joao II will trade Crab, Fish
Turn 48, 2080 BC: Churchill will trade Fish
We could settle on Copper north of Alexander, but we could just station a Warrior there to prevent Alexander from founding a Copper city or keep him from connecting copper, and when his Copper City is size 2, capture it, followed by possibly capturing his capital.
The NE City seems like a better settling site now, though.
Were we going to whip settler? I like NE because it won't take that much investment to be good, unlike the other sites.
Alright NE it is. Whipping it is a good idea too. I'll whip the wb as well.
Turn 53. Met Saladin.
Turn 55. Hatty adopts Caste. Her tech rate is crazy.
I played to turn 60. HBR is 2 turns away.
Also found the barb city to be interesting:
There's only 2 archers in there.
Here is your Session Turn Log from 2080 BC to 1600 BC:

Turn 48, 2080 BC: The borders of Copper City have expanded!
Turn 48, 2080 BC: You have trained a Work Boat in Copper City. Work has now begun on a Barracks.
Turn 50, 2000 BC: Narak (Great Prophet) has been born in a far away land!

Turn 52, 1920 BC: double fish has been founded.

Turn 60, 1600 BC: double fish has grown to size 2.
Turn 60, 1600 BC: double fish can hurry Work Boat for 1⇴ with 10ℤ overflow and +1⇤ for 10 turns.

Turn 60, 1600 BC: Mehmed II is the worst enemy of Frederick.
Meeting AIs left and right...the map is quickly getting very crowded. It does offer more chances to trade, if/when we get our hands on Alpha.
I assume Hatshepsut has the Great Library (pre-built wonders seem to belong to the "appropriate" civs), which is certainly boosting her tech rate. Makes it hard to trade with her, since she gets things so quickly. But we may be able to make deals elsewhere as time goes on and other AIs get Alpha, or if we eventually research it ourselves (hopefully we can avoid having to do this, since we decided against doing so previously).
We should be able to get Alphabet from Hatshepsut by trading HBR after putting a few turns into Alphabet.
We could still try to build The Great Wall, get a Great Spy, infiltrate Hatshepsut, make a gift city three plots SW of Paris to her and rob her of all techs through the mid-game. She would make a good research vassal too; we direct her research and trade or steal her technologies.
When we complete HBR, we should try to complete a Stables in Paris at least.
Confirming that Hatty has the Great Library in Alexandria and the Pyramids in Thebes. Churchill has Stonehenge in London and Alexander has the Oracle in Athens.
The barbarian city of Jerusalem is the Christian Holy city, that is very interesting. We should get it sooner rather than later, and that would mean conquering the Ottomans in the process and getting Istanbul. I think we shall beeline for Construction and set off towards Istanbul with Horse Archers and kamikaze Catapults.
Sounds like we should switch espionage to Hatty if we haven't already done so.
Hatty might be a good target to hit early because TGL would help a lot with bulbing, and we don't want her to get too out of control. On the other hand she's the best trade partner so far because Friendly is pretty much guaranteed with same religion.
Just to let everyone here know, I accidentally hit previous thread while trying to post a reply, and inadvertently broke the rules. Don't know how much we might get penalized.
If you left immediately and didn't see anything, usually its no problem. You might want to let Alan or BSP know though.
edit: I seen you did that already.
To report accidental rules violations, always PM AlanH or another SGOTM staff person directly. The Maintenance thread is not the proper venue for such things; that thread is only for things that by their nature affect all teams directly.
enKage is next in line to play. Are you up for it?
