I went to play my turnset and Hatty won't accept hunting for fishing. She will accept AH for it, but that means we won't be able to trade for pottery when it becomes available. Are we fine with this, or should we wait for pottery to become available to see if she would accept AH+hunting for fishing +pottery?

AH for Fishing is a pretty steep price. One option would be to put a turn of research into Fishing and see if she would make the trade then. Fishing is pretty cheap, so one turn of research should cut the effective price by a noticable percentage. We would like the tech so Copper City can improve its fish tile, yummy food == growth.

We could settle on Copper north of Alexander, but we could just station a Warrior there to prevent Alexander from founding a Copper city or keep him from connecting copper, and when his Copper City is size 2, capture it, followed by possibly capturing his capital.

The NE City seems like a better settling site now, though.

Meeting AIs left and right...the map is quickly getting very crowded. It does offer more chances to trade, if/when we get our hands on Alpha.

I assume Hatshepsut has the Great Library (pre-built wonders seem to belong to the "appropriate" civs), which is certainly boosting her tech rate. Makes it hard to trade with her, since she gets things so quickly. But we may be able to make deals elsewhere as time goes on and other AIs get Alpha, or if we eventually research it ourselves (hopefully we can avoid having to do this, since we decided against doing so previously).

We should be able to get Alphabet from Hatshepsut by trading HBR after putting a few turns into Alphabet.

We could still try to build The Great Wall, get a Great Spy, infiltrate Hatshepsut, make a gift city three plots SW of Paris to her and rob her of all techs through the mid-game. She would make a good research vassal too; we direct her research and trade or steal her technologies.

When we complete HBR, we should try to complete a Stables in Paris at least.

Confirming that Hatty has the Great Library in Alexandria and the Pyramids in Thebes. Churchill has Stonehenge in London and Alexander has the Oracle in Athens.

The barbarian city of Jerusalem is the Christian Holy city, that is very interesting. We should get it sooner rather than later, and that would mean conquering the Ottomans in the process and getting Istanbul. I think we shall beeline for Construction and set off towards Istanbul with Horse Archers and kamikaze Catapults.

Sounds like we should switch espionage to Hatty if we haven't already done so.

Hatty might be a good target to hit early because TGL would help a lot with bulbing, and we don't want her to get too out of control. On the other hand she's the best trade partner so far because Friendly is pretty much guaranteed with same religion.
