I would highly recommend that we not try to steal technology from Rome. Now that they are nuclear-capable, we are risking a lot in the case of failure. Focus on beating up England. We can get an RoP with Caesar now, and if we still can keep it down the road, that allows us to bring in tac nukes and modern armor for a mother-of-all-first-strikes. With enough cash, we can investigate many of his cities and prioritize the ICBM sites.

ummm... im having some problems... i cannot acess the SGOTM progress and results page, and the link Bede provided does not work for me...

so i cant get the save game... umm i will keep trying tonight and hopefully it will work, if i dont post my results or post on here by tommorow, someone take the turn on wednesday please

If you subscribe to the Maintenance thread for this game you'll be aware that teh server is down. I have recommended that, if you want to progress, you exchange saves via post attachments until it's restored, then upload the missing saves.

well guys, i took a look at the tables and our game is incomplete... its the only one that is this way... so well i see no reason to continue.

a lack of players and people able to play longer turn sets really killed us.

Good job team Bede. Our team, Team Cutlery, finished in the same era as you have left off here. To finish this off could be interesting but I have no doubt you would have closed the deal.

Lizzy had no domestic oil so you could have worn her down w/ MA and in a final battle between Team vs AI... Ceasar would have been ruler of a smoldering, and probably radioactive, kingdom of rubble.

If you want to go on and complete the game, please do so. I'll be taking the awards down from the shelf, dusting them off and giving them a lick of paint this weekend. So I'll probably declare the winners on Sunday or Monday. Even then you could continue to upload saves, but you wouldn't be eligible for any awards.

Doods, I played your last save and took out England and then nuked the daylights out of Rome by ~1920. I'm sure ya'll could have done better but the bottom line is you were certainly on a winning path.

I was concerned that Caesar was going to ICBM me into a nuclear winter or land stacks of Mech Inf. but that didn't happen. Your sizable air force worked real well on resource denial, de-populating cities and eliminating those nasty floating contraptions.

I was going to work up to nuking the Roman core and then switch production to MA to claim the ground but then SGoTM9 kicked in. Anyway, I think I posted my save in the SGoTM8 Maint Thread.
