Ok, should we see what I can do during my turnset first?
Should the opportunity present itself to pick up Physics, that would be nice. ;) Then I would start on Magnetism or Theory of Gravity and try to bend someone's arm for the other. :mischief:

However, please continue with your plan as well. :goodjob: I don't see them as mutually exclusive, they can be worked in parallel. :D

Good luck...

Just a reminder on palace jumps that foreign citizens count much less than native - so be careful (giving them sufficient town near Newcastle should do it - but don't forget that London has the HG and give them it)

;) I'm going to gift them the same cities that I gave the Japanese, I think.

On another note, playing the last turn sets so fast have really hurt our spam efforts. We're still in contention, but Tao looks good at 2.88 posts per turn

Good luck! Hope you can scare them into dropping us a city or two!

Time for some patented triple posts, heh???? :crazyeye:

EDIT - From the territory graph it looks like Team Durkz has made it off the starting island. We need a break, can't the RNG, for once, at least smirk at us? :p :mischief:

Their culture graph puts them right in line with Team Wacken and Klarius, so they may have copters. I was hoping they would be closer to Ivan and Tao's upturn.

So I wonder if there can be a special award for the hydrophobic AND aerophobic varient of the game....

Of course, we have no idea who our competition for that award would be....

[EDIT]400th post! [party]

As of now it looks like Wilma will stay way south of me, but it's still too early to tell. I've laid in a few supplies and may be spending tomorrow night or saturday boarding up.

BTW, congrats on the 400th post, bluebox.

Good luck Gator. You never know where those things are going to go? I just saw they now think it'll slow down over the Yucatan Peninsula and not visit you until Sunday Night into Monday. Hope it misses! :D

Congatulations on 400 Bluebox!! :goodjob: Quality, each and every one...

But I'll be trying the 1 GHz machine first......:mischief:

We've got this one, hands down.

And, its a TRIPLE Post!!

The triple poster strikes again.

Now the counter has been reset.

BTW, my parents fly back from Conneticut Monday evening, so it'll be a fun weather watching weekend.

It will be interesting to see how that works out. The weather guys are saying that once past Florida it is going to accelerate and could be here within 24 to 36 hours. Your parents might fly right past it, leaving before it gets here and landing after it leaves there.

Anyhow, I hope they have a safe and smooth flight.:)

Got to get that spam count up, you know!! :mischief:

Ah, yes and I'm going to help spam count further...
My wife occupied the PC (3 ghz btw :mischief: ) last night, working! And she had no understanding for the fact that I needed to play in order to keep the roster schedule  ;)

It's not that turns are slow, cause they're really fast now. Soon as I can get to my home comp, I'll finish it up and get it to you, hopefully before Friday night US time cause I know you guys (as me) like to play during the weekend ;)

Well, it sounds like you're ready for Civ4, if you can get use of your system?

I have an older one that is designated for Office tasks and email and internet. :smug: There are penalties for using the Civ3 system! :cringe:  :D

@Nemesis - We would love to have you back playing. If I do not hear from you, I'm going to send it to Gator as soon as The Capt. finishes as we are growing short on time. :twitch:

Nemesis still hasn't been online since the end of August so I agree we'd better keep the ball rolling.

Thanks, but I feel that he is still an X-Teamer and I wanted to give him the chance to play if he wishes.

I sure hope that he is well and nothing bad has happened...

Notes: I guess it's time for us to decide whether we want to continue to build military or try gaining a few techs. We're only at war with the Viks atm and they're very weak (but, surprisingly, very unwilling to let go of their holdings. Let's hope they build another city on Norwich island. That should wrap up the Viks.
Tarentum should pump cavs, one every turn for a few turns and then declare on Rome and take Jerusalem.
I achieved a few of the objectives for my turn set this time. I think we should just hack at it, build ridiculously big military and once we get that one city on the mainland of Rome/Japan, this game should be over quickly imhso...

MARK: The GL is outside Oslo, in the field.

Firaxis 2529, Rome 1463.
