This would have to be my record for shortest game ever. And yes, I did cheat by turning off two of the other ai civs.

I wanted to know what are some of the fastest times people have finished a full game in (ie: with max ai players). I noticed boogaboo has some 3650 BC wins in the high scores, but I doubt he'd have more than one opponent for that kind of time.

Wow, that's impressive fastest i've seen. but what difficulty is it on? because on higher difficulty levels the AI starts with bonus units making this type of victory harder.

That is very fast indeed.

However, boogaboo, for the Hall of Fame, you need to have at least 2 AIs on a tiny sized map. So, that makes his scores very impressive!

I noticed you started very close together as well...that's what struck me as odd.

citizen001: Cheiftain. I know the ai has bonus units on higher levels, which is why I decided to try for a personal speed record on a low setting.

Rik Meleet: Hmm... well, what about a non-edited map?

Ginger_Ale: Two you say? I suppose I can see that happening, especially since he used the Aztecs. I just tested a similar game to the one up there and snagged a 3750 BC victory using the Aztecs.

It was odd when I found the Koreans so close to home. I played a 20k victory before this on a tiny map and the closest AI civ from me started 20 tiles away.

I did 3300 BC as the Aztecs with 2 AIs, on Chieftain of course. Got Emperor at about 1500 BC, Regent at 1910 BC.

For non-conquest... I played RoX on a tiny map as the Aztecs and won OCC 20K in a half hour or so. I think it was Warlord or Regent (didn't save.)

Shortest game ever?

Click "New game". Get a bad start. Try to hit Ctrl-shift-Q (Okay, it was for a SG). Being the clutz that I am, I miss the shift. Ctrl-Q is the "retire" command. I mistakenly pressed "enter" too. :suicide: :ack:

My shortest Game ever never happened because it occupied an instant in time so small that it's impossible to measure!

Just showing how this is getting off the topic of quick wins.

The Last Conformist: Very nice. Did you go looking for them, or did they just happen to be right next to you?

Yuri2356: I suppose it doesn't really matter all that much. If nobody has a quick win to post then I'm thankful to get at least some related responses.

it's still possible, those extra units often go wandering away from the city (probably after barbs), if you can still take their city (cities demi-god and higher) then it doesn't matter how many extra units they have , they disappear :)

It was on a very small map - specifically, my "Hexette" one (link in signature).

The quickest I've taken out a civ on a random map is turn 12.

I've taken a Civ on Turn 5 because I popped a Warrior when I founded my capital, and it reached my nearest enemy before they coudl build one. My fastest actual win was a conquest in about 19-something BC, I had started in a small arch map with the other two civs sitting just north of me. I was Greece, against Egypt and Rome. The Island had no horses, and only 1 Iron (Located conviniently next to my captial) so I was the only one with UUs. My Hopilites quickly snagged a GA, then my Sword-Hop-Catapult army rolled over them. I believe I had about 6 cities when it was all over (3 built, 3 conquered)

The quickest would be in a C3C game where you start next to a volcano, found your city, and it erupts. It happened to me once. Lasted about 3 turns.
