OK, I need some advise here. Basically, I have Civilization 3 locked up in my drawer somewhere and have not played that game for ages. I now have a Windows 7 laptop and already have Civilization 4 installed into it! (I suck at it by the way! :D)

The question is, with Civilization 5 coming around the corner and I intend to purchase it on the very first day of release, should I install Civilization 3 Complete on my laptop to bring back fond memories, or just continue to play Civilization 4 to improve my gaming skills and wait for Civilization 5 to be released?

What should I do? I enjoyed playing Civilization 3 and Civilization 4 is equally great as well!

:)

As long as you have plenty of disk space, why not. It runs just fine in Win7.

Thanks! Does Civ II Assist work on Windows 7 by the way?

Anyway, I have decided to wait of Civilization 5 and see how the gameplay is. Besides, I am in no hurry to install Civilization 3, although I feel that Civ 3 was a great game! It was the first Civilization game that I had ever played and I feel that it has more depth and replay value than other RTS games like Age of Empires 2 and 3!

:)

Every new upgrade of Windows is designed to be backward-compatible. It will work just fine.

I beg to differ - I never could get Win 7 to accept C3C. I had to keep my old comp to play. My Win 7 was absolutely unable to read a biq file. Using the compatibility option did nothing at all.

@Blanchflower
it works but the editor for some reason wont work, you need to set compatibility option to xp sp2 if I'm not wrong

@darski

OK, I finally installed Civilization 3 on my Windows 7 64-bit laptop and there were no problems!
