Should we upgrade to PTW?

What should we do with PTW's imminent release? Should we go PTW, or do we wait?

Personally, I would like to, considering I pre-ordered my copy two months ago

i say we wait, becasue it may not be until christmas until i get my copy

we wait, as not all persons will own ptw. you will still be able to play with original civ3 even if you have ptw installed, so staying with civ3 for the first months should definitely be no problem for all citizens.
the worst thing that can happen is excluding many citizens from play by going to ptw.

I agree with Dis. Stay with Civ3. In a few months, say, Demogame III, when PTW is the common version, then we can make a switch.

I have to wait till X-Mas for PTW. Wait untill GG:3 (With no RPG, perhaps?)

I say we wait. Not everyone's going to have it at once. Plus, there's major changes, such as new unit upgrades.

I agree, we should wait. Not everyone is going to rush to there nearest electronics store and buy PTW the minute it hits the shelfs. There are Unit changes (Such as a new upgrade path for the Swordsmen (Or any UU Equivlent) to a Middle age Infantry and then to a Gurrela.
We should wait about a month or two and then decide to use PTW .

We should definitely wait. Unlike the patches, this upgrade has the potential to exclude a large proportion (perhaps even the majority) of the current citizenry from holding a position that requires access to the saved games. I agree with Padma and others that this is something to take a vote on when setting up the next demogame.

This should be waited on as well.

However, I will have a copy within seconds of it hitting the shelves...who's up for a MP game? ;-)

I preordered my copy about two months ago. You'll wonder if I want to know if we should upgrade

I guess, that if I ever had to DP, I would have to uninstall everything, and then reinstall Civ3 again...

I dont know if it is possiple to have two CivIII's (One with the PTW ant the other CivIII patched 1.29) installed in my computer.
