I like NESes how they are now, but I do not like the direction they have gone in the last few months where they were made into a joke.

Elaborate. The penguins/polarbears/pandas? That's just Off topic fun.

I frankly love how NESing is right now. I like the old school NESes, the story NESes, the modern NESes. If things change, it's just natural selection. There may be upheavals, and suddenly only a few NESes are alive. They'll change, and there's not much we can do to stop that.

Sure, I'd like to participate in a board NES, but there aren't any right now, so people who wish for the days of those should start one themselves.

What I mean when I say a joke is that half the posts are made when the players are intoxicated, everyone acts blatantly out of character, and the NES comes down to "hey dude, it would be so cool if we nuked that guy, let's do it" or something to that effect. A lot of this sort of behavior coming from many new NESers, which is most disappointing.

Yeah, mixing OOC and IC is a cancer that should be removed from NESing.

And I posted before I saw your response Stormy.

And fantasy NESes are OK, if they're well moderated. Although I'm sick of them at the moment. World of Magic, my first NES, sorry panda, probably set a bad precedent by being successful.

I myself is what you maybe can call an oldtimer But I will have to say I've not been here and complained, when I had quitted NES I've been back 3 times I belive, all time just greeting to the poeple that still played that I knew and to see if there was anything I was intrested in joining (note: EQnes).

But one thing I have to say is that the reason I quitted in the first place was becuse NESes was starting to get much more complicated, and when you have so little time that I've started to have you don't have time to set yourself into a hundred rules...

I will also like to adress the complaining that the stories are as good now as they was before, anyone of the new guys haveing read the stories of UKnemesis, none of the stories today, that I've read, come close to that!

Because orders have gotten too big. So we have less time to put into stories. Look at Metaliturtle and EQ's NESes. They're the ones I'm getting the most stories done in, because I have the time AND don't feel pressured in.

Not that I dislike NESes with fewer stories. They're both fun to be in.

Don't worry IP, I'm doing a totally magic-free NES right now.

i personally preferred lmsw's or skilord's writing to uknemesis; Lord Iggy is comparable, though not quite. if he gets better in technique he will indubitably be a match for those two old writers.

Im not new I guess, or old for that matter. I think the old timers can say whatever they wish, and some of it is true. NESing has been transformed to something completely different. You cant forget this.
