Gyprsn
Warlord
I'm currently in a multiplayer game, and the colony feature is acting up.
Firstly, the game started with 4 players. Two of these players were eliminated, and now there is me and one other person. At this point in the game, I have liberated two colonies, the second liberation has caused major issues.
The first colony liberated was China, and I had no problem doing that, except it immediately caused me to declare war on the other player (Japan). I think this has to do with the fact that my colony took the name of a person who was originally the Celts, and when they were "resurrected" the war that had originally killed the Celts, resumed.
No problem, I make peace with the other player because it was a mistake. However my second colony caused more problems. The second colony was Khmer, and took on the name of the person who was originally the Romans. Immediately after liberated Khmer's cities, I apparently declared war on China because they "renounced my protection" (I don't think that is supposed to happen with vassal colonies?) In addition, all the Roman culture (that didn't even exist at this point because they were gone), returned and became Khmer culture in the cities that were originally held by Rome. This doesn't sound right :/
Once I made peace with China, they don't want to become my vassal again :/ So I've lost a vassal for reasons I don't understand....
