What's everyone's worst mistake in a game? I was playing a game as the Aztecs. I was the biggest empire, but the Persians were starting to expand, and gobbling up a few civs.
I managed to match them in tech, but eventually I fell 3 or 4 few techs behind them.
I prepared a huge stack of Artillery and Infantry, and quickly took out a few of their large cities. On one turn I was using Artillery and Explorers to rip up their Railroad and Road's, and I forgot that I'd actually used the Artillery in that turn, and I moved all my infantry onto the next square, leaving my precious Artillery a sitting duck for the Persian Infantry on the two adjacent squares.
