Hi,

I've just got Sim City 4; it’s very different from 2 and 3. Having trouble figuring out how zone demand works with regards to cities and regions. For example if I have 2 cities connected by a road, both of which have high demand for agriculture. I start to build more farms in 1 then in the other, will this lower demand in both cities?
I want to know this as my capital has a lot of farms; I want to change this for industry and commercial zones. So, I am thinking of making a farming town next to the city. Will this work?
Also anyone know any good sim city 4 good sites (not the official)

Thanks

it's a smaller forum, but you get your questions answered

The regional demand sytem is very complex, but that demand indicator is mostly regional demand. The trick is just to follow that, and if your trying to develop a specialized city just switch when the zone(s) that you want are at zero, and build the complimentry zone(s) in the other.

Also, Agriculture demand is a subset of industrial demand, so you wouldn't need a farming suburb, just zone over with indutrial until you have little industrial demand and build up you residential cities.
