Sim Copter / Streets of sim city?

The CPU grab thing worked for me also. Thank you!

bluesniper -- check online for a boxed set caleld "SimMania." There's 2 or 3 diff ones, and one of them has SimCopter, at least. Dunno about Streets. I got my Streets of SimCity at a yard sale.
I got SimMania 3. It didn't have Streets..
20 dollars, not a bad prices. It was at Zellers.

I got SimCity 2k, Simcopter, and Streets in a bundled pack for Christmas one year when I was pretty little. They always were among my favorite games.
I've lost my Streets disk :( but I still play Simcopter a lot.

BTW, thanks ridgerunner for the cpugrab tip - it works like a charm!

Simcopter had really ******** graphics.

I mean REALLY ******** looking graphics.

I remember when I bought when I like 8 or 9. I still have the disk but it's scratched to hell.

i got that bundle, i used to play streets of simcity for hours... but, i think the best "sim" game was simcity 3000... pure genius!:goodjob:

I have SimCopter, SimTower, SimFarm, SimAnt, SimEarth, SimGolf, SimTheme Park, and SimCity original/2000/3000/4. :D I use play SimCopter so much that, to this day, I still remember most of the megaphone dialogues. Too bad there's no sequel, the copter in SimCity 4 doesn't do it justice.

I like SimCopter for the gameplay (and the game music -- only game music I like!) but the graphics need serious rehashing. Please somebody tell Maxis to re-create it. :-)

I think I have all the SimGames except SimTunes. Original ones, I mean. No console.

Wow - this worked! :hatsoff: I didn't think I'd be able to get Sim Copter working, especially after it didn't work in a virtual machine running 9x. But, what do you know, I got a whole half-hour of running time just now, six minutes more than I've ever got before on this machine and about ten times what I usually get. It didn't crash at all - it's just a bit late now.

One thing to note is that you'll need to run two CPUGrabbers if you have a dual-core system (more for quad-core, etc.). I ran them at 99% and 85% with a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo, effectively making it a 330 MHz Core 2 Solo, and the game ran great.

You downloaded something linked to by a person on their very first post?:p

I'm glad it worked though

Hi Everyone,

Since the CPUGrab.exe tool isn't being distributed by Microsoft anymore (that I can find), I created an Open Source version written in C#.NET which can be found here: http://boredwookie.net/index.php/blog/cpugrab-net/

As the tools source code is available it is open for anyone to scrutinize. While it may not be the most elegant code, it is concise and doesn't do anything unexpected. :)
