If anyone still comes here, here is a preview of the Poison Wind Globadier I've been working on. Tell me what you think.

The green gas looks a bit flat (you don't use very many colours for it), but otherwise it's looking quite good.

Yes, well done mrtn, it used to be a Hobbit.

And yes, the green gas does look flat, but it is only green during the default colour animations. As soon as I change the civ colour in Flicster, it changes to the original browny colour. Any ideas?

Well, the Poison Wind Globadier (which i will refer to now as PWG) is halfway there. i've done the attack and default animations, now just waiting for time to do the others.

I've had a 4 day weekend coz of the Royal Adelaide Show, so i had plenty of time to work on units (and do homework).

Here a preview of a Ratling Gun. Whaddaya think? Problems? Improvements?

That looks pretty good. The only thing that I might suggest is to change the color of the rat. Most Skaven are brown, except for Stormvermin which are Black, and Gray Seers, which obviously are gray. But the color gray seems to be reserved for the seers, so I'd suggest making that Skaven a brown color of some sort.

But other than that minor suggestion, I think will do well as a Ratling Gunner

I question the white hand on top of the gun, I don't think it should match his teeth or the muzzle flash - but this guy looks STUNNINGLY like the current model !

the PW globadier and ratling gun are outstanding!
one tip on the ratling gun, IIRC its supposed to be crank-powered and a little less minigun-ish. its also a 2-man-crew weapon.

making it crank powered is a little beyond me at the moment. If it is a two-Skaven-crew, what does the other one do? Is he the one who cranks the handle while the other holds the gun and fires?

Here's a preview of the little guy I'm doing. No anims yet, but I do have a pedia. (I make no claims that this dude will come out soon, or will come out any good, .)

Looks good so far. Based on aaglo's orc warrior, right? Remember, you'll have to make it a tad smaller. i just compared the orc warrior to my clanrat, and you'll have to reduce it just a bit.

unless he means it to be a Stormvermin unit, in which case it should be larger than the clan rat, I think.

PWG Death complete. Working on the run animation, then the pedia icons and the sounds. I expect it to be done by tuesday (13th Sept)

Re: the ratling gun

Yes, your guess was correct. The "front" rat just kinda points the thing in the direction of something he hopes is the enemy, while the one in back runs the crank.

It always struck me as kindof strange why this needed to be a crew served weapon, since if you look at the actual pewter figs for them, one rat could probably handle it on his own if only the skaven could discover the miracle known as the "shoulder sling" for all thier bizzare firearms ;-)

I still think the unit looks great, and will be a fine addition to the skaven arsenal!
