I hadn't considered that. I guess there does have to be at least one socially redeeming smiley. But then can we have equal time for perhaps a Ganesh smiley or a monk smiley or a smiling Buddha smiley?

These hundred plus posts tell me one thing.. Function is in the eyes of the poster. For every smiley reduction proposal, there seems to be a counter post with an example of how the smiley is usefull. So is there really any need to reduce the smiley library at all? Does it really need to be reduced before new ones can be added?
