I agree too, the older sneak peeks also encouraged us to find more background information (pun intended? ). Big fan of the marketing except for these new hints.
It's probably not actually the Mosque of Djenne, since that's a more recent construction. The University of Sankore doesn't quite fit. But it's something very similar to those.
A quick wikipedia search indicates that Musa's capital was actually Niani, not Timbuktu. Learn something every day.
Taking the gold-coins from the last broadcast into account I'll go with the flow and say it's Mali.
But I don't care so much. Any News is good news, it was long weeks since the last reveal...
Like many here, I must say I don't really like these sneak peaks... they're always portions of images that could just be anything... Plus, once the reveal is done, we don't even get a feedback telling us exactly what it was... useless imho

IF it were a dome, it would rule out Phoenicia, because domes were beyond the architectural engineering of the time.
But it's rectangular if you crank up the brightness enough.
Still doesn't look like Phoenicia.
The entire proportion of the roof/peak doesn't look anything like Malian.
BUT Not being a dome makes it less like Ottoman, to my eye.
Of the remaining candidates, I'm going with Probably Maybe Sweden.
It's regular enough that it's not a termite mound or beaver lodge, so Human. Yep, definitely Human.

But there is something below the beam on the right sight (if we speak of the same thing at all) that doesn‘t seem to fit.
I wouldn’t rule out a Phoenician lighthouse. It would fit Dido to appear on her screen in the background and while we don‘t know phonician lighthouse remains (afaik), other classical remains are indeed rectangular stories put on top of each other.
