So with S.ilver's old machine blowing up from yet unexplained circumstances, this game came to a screeching halt. Boo. Well, put together a new machine to meet the specs of Civ 5 and hey; it turns out that Civ 5 is made of fail (at least until they patch it). So back we are to Civ 4 and let's get this game finished.
Remind a S.ilver to reinstall Civ 4 the day before he is supposed to play his turns; spent a bloody hour and a half juggling discs, downloading the path, downloading Blue Marble, and BUG! Luckily had time to read the thread and figure out WTH we were doing.
150AD (121):
So boot up the game and look at the nice Rivers that actually look like rivers (instead of blue lines done up in MS paint).
Looks like Liq went through and MMed everything because I can't see anything that needs any fixing. Well, besides Avar having no garrison (that will be fixed in a few turns). Absolutely no trades yet and no war yet either, very odd with Monty around and folks that he doesn't like.
Anyways, get Lars moving from Aryan over to help Todd mop up the barbs, exp all around! Cecil is hurt, so going to let him heal first.
CoL in 12 @ 20% -3gpt, tempted to jack up science to burn cash, but we're about to spam more settlers, so that's about to get a lot worse.
Not sold on Liq's "Grab Me" town, because there are a ton of mountains there. Going to look into "scout me" first to block Asoka, Sally isn't rushing "Grab Me" anytime soon, what with the utter garbage to his west.
175BC (122):
Asoka spams another town somewhere, so going to have to check north, he probably settled on or near "Scout Me", which leaves "Grab Me" as the only option. Oh, and he moved from cautious to pleased, probably was a display error because I remember him being pleased before.
Cecil healed up so he'll get moving to scout out the northwest area.
Discomposure is going to pull a road up to Aryan before we bother farming for the rice (which won't get irrigation until Civil anyways).
Noticing that we can't do much until we get Maths (to unlock Calendar) ugh.
200AD (123):
Temple of Solomon spammed far away, someone got a great profit last turn and I neglected to mention it, bad S.ilver.
Anasazi finished spamming it's Ikhanda this turn, and we move to 1.0 power with Asoka, heh. Town has both food and commerce, so library for sure.
India back to cautious btw, WTH? :/
Todd beats down on a random archer wandering around the barb town to take his XP to 7.
225AD (124):
Monty's walled town of WTH gets the religious wall event, whatever.
Aryan out of revolt, size 4 and pissed because of Yearning. Huh???
Bah, seems like my printscreen key is not working properly, good thing I am checking now eh? Go download FRAPs. Bah, free version only gives you giant BMPs, going to have to remember to clear out SS folder after every round...
Ok...
They yearn to be barbs again? Huh?
Whatever... 2-pop whip that town and gonna overflow for the granary probably. Problem solved. Town is growing too fast so move work off one of the floods to one of the 1/1/1 tiles. The hill works.
Nobamba spammed out and archer and is stable at size 7. Has 2 hired scientists, so dial up a monastery for the bonus; that and we can't really take on more unit maint.
So notice that something (probably FRAPs) has messed up my Esc key so it doesn't work anymore with Civ. Save the game and reboot Civ. Still not work. Oh heck it was Photoshop somehow messing it up. No idea... Oh, well one thing that did was reset my BUG settings to default, great thanks... Go back through the settings and put everything back.
250BC (125):
Todd beats down on the second archer wandering around Barb town to take his XP to 9. One more!
Actually, forget about using Cecil to scout, he's too slow. Gogo Medic Pimpi Siegfried!
Oh well we are too late, so will look south to expand. Pray that Monty goes bonkers on Asoka soon.
Aryan's whipped monument is in, going to go stagnant to build the Granary in 6 turns.
Send Sid's "Generosity" westward to help with worker abuse.
275AD (126):
Saladin spams another town somewhere, up to 11 now >.<
Umgunlovu! finishes it's Monastery, that's nice. Push out another archer as we'll need town garrison soonish. This town grows (to the cap) next turn even if I hire 2 scientists, so do that now to buttress our pathetic beakers.
300AD (127):
Umgun moves to size 7 and I stabilize it.
Monty has a Jag and an archer poking around Aryan. Right buddy.
325AD (128):
A look at Asoka's craziness with the cities...
Agra is 1 tiles from fresh water and sucking up some desert tiles. Good job mate. I guess, uh... he gets 2 hammers in the city center from settling on those Phats!
350AD (129):
ToA BIAFL and Saladin continues to inundate us with his missionaries. His latest target was Bulawayo. Thanks man!
Oh that ToA was built by Asoka. Seems he is wonder spamming as the wonder screen shows him with 4 wonders so far (out of the 6 built). Come on Monty!
The barb town has 3 archers in it, so glad we brought more troops.
We are somehow stable at 20% science now, lmao.
375AD (130):
It's the year of the Granary as Avar and Bulawayo both push one out. Liq put them on Auto Ikhanada's but whatever.
Umgun's archer is done, setting it towards "Grab Me". Going to put out an axe in case we get attacked by someone.
400AD (131):
Oh boy!
Notice that Monty and company will now trade Maths. When did that happen? Oh in the inturn.
So Monty and Asoka hate each other and Sally hates Monty. Sally is hated by no one but he has a big lead, so not keen on trading with him.
So dial up Asoka (hoping he will get killed by Monty) and do this deal.
Almost completely equal in value, yay. And Monty is not pissed at us over the trade.
Click to dial up Calendar and realize we don't have sailing yet and we just unlocked it with Fishing, arg lol.
Ok well we can broker sailing later, so it's really a toss up between Currency and Metal Casting so we have stuff to build. Civil takes a tad bit too long right now (30 turns!). Ah whatever, Liq is up, so just set it on Metal Casting (and let him worry about it). Forges are cheaper than markets, so it's really a toss up. We have both Ivory and Gems, so either or is an extra happy for us.
Settler done in Ulundi and dial up one more in case we want to settle the other filler town in the West.
Nobamba finished... something and gets on a courthouse. Whee, -70% total maintenance is sick. Can anyone say CEO Shaka?
Aryan's Granary is finished so get it in max growth mode while we dial a lazy Ikhanda.
Lars gets some XP beating down on one of the barb archers, so 2 to go.

for the set. I built a farm near Avar on a riverside grass tile, and probably shouldn't have. But the town looks like production, so whatever.
We are still 0.7 with Monty so whew. Those Ikhandas count for a lot. Monty not yet in WHEOOH mode yet, boo.
Still lots of land to develop and plenty of worker abuse to go around!
