So I'm thinking about getting a joystick for my laptop

I recently dug up my old copy of Red Baron 3D and managed to reinstall it with minimal hassle. Thing is, I forgot how difficult it is to play that game with just a keyboard. I'm thinking about getting a joystick for it, preferably an inexpensive one (about $200 USD max) that I can plug into a USB port. Can any of the more tech-savvy people out there recommend a decent one?

For the record, I'm running a Dell Inspiron 15R with 4 Intel Core i3 processors (2.4 GHz each) with integrated Intel HD graphical support. I'm running Windows 7 Home as the OS and DirectX 11. (I don't know how much of this is necessary, strictly speaking, but I figured I'd include as much info as I could.)

Are you deadset on a joystick? If it is a matter of disliking the keyboard, you might want to look into a USB controller like the x-box 360 controller. Logitech and lots of other company's besides Microsoft also make these kinds of controllers.

A joystick might be useful for a handful of games, but a controller might offer more usability in that regard.

Iirc I payed about $50 or so Canadian for my joystick (some Logitech one) and I rarely use it (mostly just for X3 and whenever it is I get around to learninig Il-2).

You aren't going to use a joystick for many games, although Red Baron is one that I guess would need it.

EDIT $40 Canadian for this joystick, the one I bought isn't sold anymore.

Yeah, I only plan on using it for that game, plus any other flight sims that I may or may not get in the future.

Thanks for the suggestions!
