So which armed uprisings should have been surpressed and which shouldn't have?

Apparently suppressing an armed uprising isn't a prerogative everyone agrees that a government should have. So tell, me what armed uprisings, should, have, been, pressure, and which shouldn't have? Why should some of the have been suppressed and others not? Justify yourselves scoundrels.

Well cretins, tell me all about the morality of one over the other. And feel free to add your own.

You should add the syrian and libyan uprisings as well.
edit: Oh I see them now, my bad I'm tired.

Whoa, I think you've invented the hardest question in history. :hatsoff:

Wouldn't even know where to start on this one without the forums demolishing me. College history students have nightmares about this showing up on the final exam in a much smaller form.

It's not that difficult. Why would you justify one revolution over another?

Also if you're a history major switch before it's too late or you'll end up in law school!

Gil Scott Heron's Revolution was totally justified.

Quote the list below, add one point to the Rebellion you want to support and write a reason.
Deduct two points from the one you do not, again, please write a reason.

Always delete the reasons from the last person or it gets cluttered fast. You also only get to vote once a day and everyone has to keep on the look out for errors.

If this going to be an elimination game, shoulnt this be in the forum games?

The mods never moved the incessant, nonstop elimination threads from taking over the CiV forums AFAIK.

EDIT: Nevermind. My serious answer really doesn't fit where this thread is being taken.

Really wish we could delete our own posts.

Tough choice between the levellers and the commune. Went with the commune because reasons.

Uprisings that should've been supressed:
* The American revolution (no taxation without representation? what about the slaves?)
* The Spartucus rebellion (Stanley Kubrick's movie would've sucked if it didn't)
* The Belgian revolution (Belgium deserves to be under Dutch rule)
* The Indonesian war of independence (see above)

Uprisings that were justified:
* The Southern secession (free trade!! also, the USA doesn't deserve to exist, see American revolution)
* The Dutch revolt (no further comment needed)
* The Nagarno-Karabakh war (no one's heard of it so it must be good)*

*This argument becomes invalid once more people hear of it...
