Background

I'm working on a story, it's an allegorical fiction with some fantasy elements. The gist of the plot is Napoleon-like figure in the early industrial era leading a Venice-like city state into a world power instead of destroying it (which is what happened to the real Venice). Most people draw maps on paper, but I decided to make a map with the World Builder. I never intended the map to be playable, I just wanted to paint the geography and mark the rivers and size up the different nations. But one thing led to another and it's a fully playable scenario now.

Numbers and Requirements

The Scenario has 22 civilizations, 41 city-states, all natural wonders and all possible luxuries, including cocoa (the last final touches were done in October 28th 2014) and is played on a 101 x 54 map (similar to large). You need ALL expansions and ALL Civ DLC's. The wonders of the ancient world is recommended. By the end of the game, you will see all unique improvements as well.

All Civilizations start with a well promo'd "king" unit that upgrades to their unique unit, (this means that the Dutch starts with a sea beggar). Venice starts with 5 good units plus a great engineer, because it's the protagonist of this story and because it only starts with one city. All civilizations also starts with two approporiate technologies, and enough improvements and allied city-states to keep happiness in the green for a while for all difficulty levels. The Following is a spoiler for individual civilizations in the scenario.

Spoiler :

Baby we're not a city-state anymore:

Venice (Hafsol): 1 city, Fantastic location, Krakatoa in capital, allied with 3 city-states at start, permawar with Inca (Zaireeka), military access through Byzantium and Sweden.

India: 10 cities, allied with many city-states, Sri Pada in capital, Permawar with Portugal and the Iroquois.

Ottomans: 6 cities, Permawar with Byzantines and Ethiopia

Morocco: 6 cities, Mt. Kailash near capital, Permawar with Ethiopia

Mongolia: 6 cities, Starts with a horse archer (Hunnic UU)

Poland (The Arpatriarchate): 2 cities, allied with 2 religious city-states at start, academy and custom house in capital, permawar with Denmark

The Woobie:

Iroquois (The Hijran Tribes) 4 cities, 1000 miles away from each other, permawar with the two most powerful civilizations in the scenario.

Full disclosure:

The Zulu, Korea, Siam, and Japan aren't very fun to play, and I haven't spent too much time developing the geography around them. They aren't even really present in the story I am writing. The story does interact and travel all the other lands except these areas. Right now, Korea and Siam are basically NPC civilizations for the player to sign research agreements and Japan is there if you want to conquer it for the unique spices. The Zulu also creates tension for the Arabs, Ottomans and the Byzantines if you play that area.

To do:

I haven't come up with good names for many of the cities, so most of them are placeholder names. I do have come up with names for the region the cities are in, so the placeholder names are region + a number. So this will change as I think of appropriate names.

The cities that are still off civilization's default city-list (particularly out in the east) is where I even't haven't come up with the name of the region. :( Any suggestion for names will be appreciated.
