The early years of Rome are lost to history but what is known is about the ancient Romans was that they were not very friendly people and declared war on everyone the minute they met them. By the year 150bc Rome was an empire of 4 cities and had met the Persians, Zulu, Mongols, Sumerians and Inca’s and declared war on all of them.

The following is the history of Rome from the eyes of Caser through his diary.

150bc

I am building a great monument in Rome as a testament to our glory it will be called the Mausoleum of Maullous and shall be the envy of the entire world! I am also building a giant statue made out of bronze in Veii called the Colossus. I heard news today that a Persian and Zulu Ax-Man intruded into our territory by some farmers who were toiling in their fields outside of Rome. How dare those barbarians intrude so close to this great city! I have sent an Ax-Man to punish them.

We have learnt Literature! I will build libraries all over the empire where scholars can share their knowledge. We shall become a center of education and learning. I have decided to pursue a code of laws to govern my people. My sages and soothsayers are working on it. My garrison in Veii has spotted Zulu barbarians marching on the cities. I have sent an Ax-Man to reinforce the city but it will probably not be necessary my Hoplites are brave and strong and the city has walls. I have sent a Droman to circumnavigate the globe.

My Ax-Man engaged the Zulu Ax-Man but was defeated! The Zulu’s have taken Veii hill from there they will be in a position to assault Veii itself! The Inca’s Persians and Sumerians are also sending force’s against me. I fear for the future of Rome.

My enemies are advancing deeper into my territory I have organized my defenders for battle.

The cursed Zulu are pillaging the outskirts of Veii. They must be stopped! The Incas are on the mountain right outside of Rome. On the brighter side the Mausoleum of Mallous has been completed. I have met a people called the Celts and declared war on them.

The Incas are right outside of Rome and the Zulu have fortified on Veii hill

Both Incan Ax-Men have impaled themselves on the spears of our Hoplite in the process our hoplite has become elite and started our Golden Age!

A Hoplite has been trained in Rome I have sent him out to engage a Sumerian Enkidu Warrior. The Zulu’s are sending reinforcements to Veii hill

This is my first always war so I would appericate advice and feedback. By the way this will take some time to write so please be patient. If anyone reads this or cares that is.

As an advice I'd say you need to build military instead of wonders. I've played some always war myself and in the early ages (before my military gained momentum) I needed every unit I could make.

Barracks, walls, maybe a temple or two, but I didn't have time for wonders. Once your military is doing well, I'd suggest you take those Zulu cities to the east. Once you've taken them they're easily defendable as they lie protected by the cities you have now.

Ok I'm building units now but my problem is no resourses. My best unit is the Hoplite. BTW Why is it showing as a link and not an image.

Because those are links, not images.

Has to end in an acceptable image format (.jpg, .png, etc.) for them to work, as it is they're non-image URLs.
